Un groupe de militants italiens anti-guerre recueille des fonds pour soutenir la résistance irakienne armée. Cette nouvelle vient de tomber alors que l'Italie pleure dix-neuf soldats tués dans une attaque suicide à Nasiriya.

Les «Anti-impérialistes» (Campo anti-imperialista) mènent campagne sur le net en demandant aux internautes d'envoyer «10 euros pour la résistance irakienne». Ils affirment avoir déjà recueilli 12.000 euros durant les huit dernières semaines et ils admettent que cet argent pourra servir à acheter des armes.

Les «Anti-impérialistes» sont un mouvement d'opposants européens à la guerre et à la mondialisation. Ils préparent actuellement une manifestation contre la guerre en Italie pour le mois prochain. On s'interroge sur la réaction des pacifistes modérés face à cette action de recueil de fonds.

La section italienne des «Anti-impérialistes» a annoncée que l'argent rassemblé serait remis à un groupe de résistance connu sous le nom d'Opposition irakienne patriotique. Des sources irakiennes indépendantes à Londres affirment que les dirigeants de ce groupe ont depuis longtemps des liens avec le parti Ba'as et sont maintenant rentrés en Irak pour soutenir la résistance armée.

Le porte-parole italien des «Anti-impérialistes», Moreno Pasquinelli, affirme que l'argent collecté est pour l'instant sur un compte bancaire en Italie. M. Pasquinelli précise qu'il sera transféré en Irak en janvier. Quand on lui demande quel sera l'usage que l'Opposition irakienne patriotique fera de l'argent, il répond candidement: «Ce n'est pas notre affaire. S'ils veulent l'utiliser pour imprimer des tracts ou acheter des armes, cela ne nous concerne pas. Nous soutenons la résistance armée en Irak. L'argent que nous rassemblons a pour but de les aider. Cela ne fait pas de différence pour nous s'ils s'en servent pour acheter des kalachnikov ou des médicaments». Prié de confirmer que l'argent sera bien utilisé pour acheter des armes, il répond: «Sans doute, et où est le mal ?».

Le Ministre de l'intérieur a refusé de commenter l'information en disant que cela était du ressort des services de sécurité. Lucio Malan, un sénateur de Forza Italia, choqué par la nouvelle déclare: «Les premiers mots qui me viennent à l'esprit sont: honte et horreur. Ils recueillent de l'argent pour lutter contre des soldats, dont des Italiens, qui défendent la paix et la sécurité de la population de ce pays, qui ne tuent, ni ne blessent personne mais qui aident à déminer. Rassembler de l'argent pour des groupes terroristes me semble contraire aux lois italiennes».

Est-ce que la loi italienne permet d'envahir militairement des pays qui avaient des relations diplomatiques normales avec l'Italie ?

L'antiaméricanisme compromettant des extrémistes

Des nazimaoïstes aux républicains forcenés, en passant par les fondamentalistes musulmans, ils se revendiquent tous de la résistance irakienne et du dépassement de la «dichotomie gauche-droite».

Qu'ont en commun une poignée d'ex-trotskistes qui aujourd'hui animent le Campo antimperialista, un groupe de nazimaoïstes qui se revendiquent du «communisme national», une revue publiée par des nostalgiques de la République de Salo et du fascisme des origines et le secrétaire de l'Union des communautés musulmanes italiennes ?

Dans l'immédiat, un soutien similaire à une manifestation en faveur de la résistance irakienne qui doit se tenir le 13 décembre prochain. Mais aussi, pour quelque uns d'entre eux un véritable projet politique qui dépasse la «dichotomie gauche-droite» au nom de l'antiaméricanisme considéré comme la quintessence de l'impérialisme. Une fois l'Amérique identifiée comme l'ennemi de l'humanité, en toute logique, ils appellent tout le monde à la combattre, indépendamment de leur famille idéologique. Ce projet circule sur le net depuis février dernier sous le titre sans équivoque «Peoples smash America». C'est sur cette base qu'est proposée l'adhésion à une «liste antiaméricaine», tandis que les projets similaires se développent sur d'autres mailing lists comme Al Awda, «droite-gauche» et, ces derniers jours, sur celle de Forza nuova, où se tient un débat animé au sujet de la participation à la manifestation du 13.

Le lieu de rencontre physique est le Campo antimperialista de Perugia, qui chaque année se vante de l'adhésion de centaines d'organisations révolutionnaires du monde entier attirant ponctuellement l'attention des forces de l'ordre et de la presse de droite. Parmi ces groupes, on rencontre le microscopique Parti maoïste russe et une fantomatique Fondation Saddam Hussein, ainsi que les «communautaires» de Socialisme et libération de Maurizio Neri, ex lepeniste issu du Front social national d'Adriano Tilgher et converti au «communisme national». L'animateur du Campo, du bulletin Voix ouvrière et d'une fantomatique organisation D17 est Moreno Pasquinelli. C'est lui qui a, en d'autres temps, accusé le mouvement «No global» de ne pas être révolutionnaire. Cette année, bien que la star du Campo ait été un représentant de l'«opposition patriotique» irakienne, un ba'assiste socialiste national, la participation fut plus faible que celle des années précédentes. Les présents purent entendre lors de cette réunion une intervention sur le «génocide du peuple serbe » par Maria Lina Veca, une brillante collaboratrice du quotidien Rinascita qui s'était précédemment fait remarquer par un article virulent contre le sénateur écologiste et mouvementiste Francesco Martone qui avait osé écrire une lettre ouverte à l'hebdomadaire Carta parce que la Bibliothèque du Sénat était abonnée à ce quotidien dirigé par Ugo Gaudenzi, ex-correspondant de l'agence de presse Ansa à Beyrouth, qui dans les années soixante fut un des nazimaoïstes de Lutte du peuple. D'une manière surprenante, entre deux articles de ce journal sont publiés des photos de militants faisant le salut romain et des communiqués commémorant la République de Salò. Si on n'a pas encore tout compris, le logo qui figure à côté du titre du quotidien est celui de la Waffen SS italienne.

Sur l'appel à la manifestation, ces choses là ne sont pas écrites. Comme ne sont pas expliquées les personnalités qui animent la discussion sur la «liste antiaméricaine». Des individus comme Claudio Mutti, de Parme, directeur d'une petite maison d'édition d'extrême-droite, les Editions du Veltro, et qui se présente comme dissident lepeniste sur la liste commune de Flamme tricolore et du Mouvement fascisme et liberté aux élections européennes. Ou comme Alessandra Colla, directrice d'Orion.

En peu de temps, l'appel a recueilli, principalement à l'extrême-gauche un millier de signatures d'individus et d'organisations. Parmi celles-ci on trouve toutefois celle de Tiberio Graziani, traducteur de Pierre Drieu La Rochelle, auteur de la postface du livre Serbie, avant-poste d'Europe du nationaliste serbe Kalajic et d'un livre d'entretien avec le père Benjamin, Irak, avant-poste d'Eurasie. A aussi signé, Luigi Tedeschi, directeur de la revue d'extrême-droite Italicum. Et l'intellectuel de droite Franco Cardini a fait de même ainsi que divers néofascistes de provenance variée.

On peut penser, à la vue de tout cela, dans le meilleur des cas, à une «infiltration» néofasciste, au pire à un véritable projet politique. Cela a donc amené certains à retirer leur adhésion comme l'ont fait l'Union des Arabes palestiniens d'Italie et l'Union des communautés musulmanes italiennes. Mais le secrétaire-général de celle-ci, Roberto «Hamza» Piccardo, n'a pas lui fait ce geste alors qu'il a un passé de gauche. «Pour moi c'est une question de principe. Les différences idéologiques ne sont rien face aux morts d'Irak. Lors d'une manifestation pour la Palestine à Rome, j'étais intervenu pour éviter que soit molesté un jeune militant fasciste qui était venu à titre personnel » dit-il. Et il annonce que, le 13 décembre, il sera dans la rue avec les antiaméricains de gauche et de droite.

Des euros pour l'Irak qui résiste

Déclaration collective en soutien aux résistants irakiens

 

La guerre, que Bush estimait terminée le 1 er mai, vient de commencer. Les agresseurs anglo-américains espéraient qu´une fois l´armée irakienne défaite le peuple d´Irak les aurait accueillis en libérateur... Ils se trouvent, tout au contraire, face à une hostilité populaire croissante.

Les envahisseurs ont occupé le pays en promettant "la démocratie et la liberté" mais le gouvernement colonial dirigé par Paul Bremer réprime avec des méthodes autoritaires toute expression de mécontentement. Qui ose critiquer ses décisions est arrêté et mis en camps d´internement.

En ces conditions la résistance devient chaque jour plus forte et ouvre la possibilité d´une véritable guerre de libération.

La bataille qui se mène en Irak est d´une importance historique. Si les occupants sont boutés hors du pays, si le peuple irakien arrive à se libérer, alors les ambitions impériales et impérialistes nord-américaines de transformer le monde entier en leur arrière-cour recevront un coup d'arrêt fatal. La défaite des occupants anglo-américains serait une victoire pour tous ceux qui luttent pour la liberté des peuples qui refusent de se soumettre aux diktats du Nouvel ordre mondial.

Pour nous la résistance irakienne est légitime tant moralement que politiquement. Mais le penser est bien, le manifester concrètement est mieux.

Ainsi avons nous décidé de soutenir l'initative des " Anti-impérialistes " italiens " 10 euros pour l'Irak qui résiste ".

10 euros c'est peu en France, c'est beaucoup en Irak...

Les sommes qui seront réunies en France seront transmises à l'organisation "Antiimpérilista" italienne qui les remettra, de manière régulière, à Awni al Kalemji, porte-parole en Europe de la résistance nationale irakienne.

Cet argent permettra, espérons-le, d'aider les familles des combattants de la résistance tombés au combats et les exilés dans les divers pays arabes.

Enfin, nous invitons tous ceux qui le peuvent à participer à la manifestation en soutien à l'Irak qui résiste qui aura lieu à Rome le 13 décembre prochain.

Pas plus aujourd'hui qu'hier il ne faut lutter "pour la paix" en Irak mais pour la défaîte des troupes anglo-américaines.

ANTISÉMITISME NE VEUT RIEN DIRE

Le terme d'antisémitisme a été inventé par un publiciste allemand d'extrême-gauche, dans les années 1870, un certain Wilhelm Marr. (Bio et biblio dans le Kirchenlexikon:

<http://www.bautz.de/bbkl/m/marr.shtml> On ne manquera pas de signaler que le patronyme de "Marr" est souvent porté dans des familles juives de Russie et d'Europe centrale.

C'est l'époque de la montée de la notion de "race", une notion qui est "scientifique" puisqu'elle provient de la science de l'époque. On dira aujourd'hui que cette notion n'est pas scientifique, mais on voudra bien se souvenir que ce qu'on appelle aujourd'hui la science est une succession de "vérités" qui sont ensuite reconnues comme des "vérités partielles" ou des "non-vérités", remplacées par des notions jugées plus conformes à la "vérité" du moment, avant d'être mises au placard ou remplacées par d'autres "vérités" plus conformes au goût, et au savoir, du moment. La science n'est qu'un mouvement, et ses étapes antérieures sont intégrées et dépassées par le mouvement. Tout ceci pour dire que la notion de race, aujourd'hui abandonnée, ou diluée, ou cachée sous la tapis, mais encore largement utilisée dans le monde anglo-saxon, n'a plus de rôle, sauf dans les élevages d'animaux domestiques, où des concours appellent à juger les "races" de chats, de chiens, de poules, mais pas encore de crocodiles; ça viendra.

Au XIXe siècle et pratiquement jusqu'à la moitié du XXe, la notion de race s'impose à l'étude de l'humanité et on apprend à l'école que cette humanité se divise en plusieurs "races". Les choses se compliquent un tantinet quand il s'agit de décrire ces races. Toutes sortes de classifications apparaissent dans les journaux savants et il se crée une discipline spéciale, dite anthropologie physique, pour mesurer les crânes et différents indices corporels afin de déterminer l'appartenance à des "races", brachycéphales, alpo-dinariques, et tutti quanti. Toute cette "science", tout ce matériel (des millions de crânes) est abandonné en douceur dans les années 50-60. Personne ne proncera l'acte de décès de cette "science". On l'oublie, purement et simplement. Mais on aurait tort de l'imputer spécialement aux "savants nazis": elle était universellement répandue dans le monde savant et les universités. Comme aujourd'hui l'anti-racisme. Qui se dit aussi "scientifique". Bref, la roue tourne, les vérités du moment succèdent à d'autres vérités du moment, et les dogmatiques de l'instant sont toujours légion.

Au dix-neuvième siècle, par conséquent, il était normal de parler de race, et le terme de "race juive" était parfaitement courant. Comme on parlait de la France comme du confluent entre la race gauloise et la race germanique. Ce sont des représentations fortement chargées d'émotions et de désir politique, de revanche, de domination, etc. Des appels à la guerre, souvent. Sous la plume de divers auteurs juifs, l'expression "race juive" était fréquente et le terme ne soulevait aucune protestation.

Comment nommer "scientifiquement" cette race juive ? C'est là qu'intervient le concept de "sémite". D'où vient-il ? Il est relativement récent. Vers l'époque où se forme la linguistique comparée, on découvre l'idée de familles de langues. On s'aperçoit que des langues, parfois très éloignées dans le temps ou l'espace ont les mêmes structures de base ou sont le produit de l'évolution de l'une vers l'autre. Ces choses nous paraissent normales, mais elles étaient nouvelles dans les années 1780-1820. Lorsqu'ils identifièrent les concordances entre plusieurs groupes de langues connues du Moyen-Orient, certains savants éprouvèrent le besoin de nommer ces familles dont ils établissaient en même temps l'existence, jusque là inaperçue. Comme on vivait encore dans une époque chrétienne, qu'il s'agissait de la région d'où venait la référence biblique, ils eurent recours à la Bible, et en particulier à ce chapitre célèbre qui expose, dans la Genèse, l'apparition des divers groupes humains qui peuplaient le Moyen Orient au premier millénaire avant notre ère. Il s'agit évidemment de pure mythologie. Et le modèle est simple: on prend un personnage mythique et on en fait le père de toute une population, qui porte donc le nom de l'ancêtre (c'est la signification du mot "éponyme" que les journalistes ignoramus confondent avec "synonyme"). Or, à cause du mythe du Déluge, toute l'humanité existante est supposée être de la descendance de Noé. Le récit, dont on ne connaît pas les origines, octroie à Noé trois fils, qui sont donc à leur tour présentés comme les origines de l'humanité: Sem (ou Shem), Cham (ou Kham, ou Ham) et Japhet. Ce très intéressant chapitre X de la Genèse, donne ensuite les noms des fils des fils de Noé, lesquels présentés dès lors comme les ancêtres de certaines villes ou certaines régions de la sphère méditerranéenne et proche-orientale. par exemple, Cham eut pour fils Misraïm (les deux Egyptes) et Koush, identifié comme l'Ethiopie, Pout (le pays connu par les Egyptiens comme Pount, d'où venaient l'encens, Somalie ou Yemen) et Canaan, les vrais habitants et propriétaire de la Palestine. Beaucoup de ces identifications sont hasardeuses et sujettes à caution. Les commentateurs et les exégètes ne manquent pas de travail pour reconstituer une sorte de carte, au moins mentale, sinon vraiment géorgaphique, des unités de population qui sont évoquées ici. N'entrons pas dans le détail, il y faudrait des volumes.

Le nom de Sem (un mot qui veut justement dire "le nom") a retenu l'attention des premiers linguistes: les descendants supposés de ce mythique Sem, du moins ceux qui pouvaient être identifiés à coup sûr, parlaient des langues apparentées entre elles: l'araméen, l'assyrien, l'hébreu, l'arabe, etc. De là est venue, comme une paraphrase du texte biblique, le mot "sémitique" pour désigner cette famille de langue. Nos savants allèrent plus loin: trouvant dans les descendants supposés de Cham, ou Ham, des gens qui participaient aussi d'une autre famille de langues, ils la baptisèrent "hamitique". Et comme ces deux familles sont certainement elles-mêmes descendantes d'un ancêtre liguistique commun, on a nommé ce dernier "hamito-sémitique". Quand aux langues d'Ethiopie, elles furent baptisées sans façon du nom de langues "couchitiques". C'est la continuation de Genèse,x.

Les linguistes, quand ils inventent ces mots (il y a même eu par la suite tentative de créer une famille "japhétique" du côté des langues caucasiennes), ne parlent que des langues, connues, répertoriées, écrites ou orales et ne désignent pas les gens qui les parlent. Il n'existe donc pas, dans l'esprit des créateurs de ce concept, de "Sémites". Il n'existe que des locuteurs de langues appartenant à une famille théorique, dite sémitique. Ce que serait la langue sémitique mère, d'où viennent les autres, nul ne le sait. On peut en proposer des reconstructions hypothétiques, mais on ne sait pas qui la parlait, ni où ni quand. Tout cela se perd dans la nuit des temps.

C'est à un certain moment, sans doute vers la première moitié du XIXe siècle que s'opère une sorte d'équivalence entre appartenance à une famille linguistique et appartenance à une "race" censée parler une de ces langues. Pourtant, les linguistes, les historiens savent parfaitement que des populations ont changé de langue au cours des temps, pour telles ou telles raisons. Les Gaulois, qui parlaient certaines langues celtiques sont passés au latin de cuisine qui se pratiquait dans l'armée romaine. Les gens du Moyen Orient sont passé d'un langue sémitique à une autre, en fonction des évolutions politiques, ont appris le gec et le latin quand la puissance dominante a été Alexandre le Grand ou Rome, et sont passés à l'arabe au moment de l'islamisation. Ceux qu'on appelle aujourd'hui les Arabes avaient des ancêtres qui ne parlaient pas l'arabe. Ceux qu'on appelle aujourd'hui les Turcs (en Turquie) ont des ancêtres qui parlaient le grec et toutes sortes de langues "indo-européennes", dont le hittite, et d'autres. On pourrait multiplier les exemples. Il faut en conclure que des groupes qui parlent une langue peuvent provenir de groupes qui en parlaient une autre. Disparution des Sémites: ils n'ont jamais existé. Quand on parle de "civilisation sémitique" ou de "religion sémitique", on commet un abus de langage. On télescope: il s'agit de "civilisation" ou de "religion" communes à des peuples parlant, à ce moment-là, des langues sémitiques - et d'ailleurs à d'autres peuples aussi qui parlaient d'autres langues.

Cette fusion des concepts "race+langue" s'est malgré tout imposée. Il y a des gens qui croient être des Sémites, sous le fallacieux prétexte qu'ils parlent une langue de la famille sémitique. On arrive à un comique involontaire de la plus belle eau, quand des gens d'Afrique du Nord, qui ne sont même pas tous arabisés, et qui parlent souvent chez eux un dialecte dit berbère (encore un mot qui mériterait un nettoyage de fond) qui n'appartient pas à la famille sémitique, se proclament "sémites". Ils feraient mieux de se dire "hamites" puisque les parlers de tout le nord de l'Afrique (Egypte ancienne, Sahara, Maghreb) font tous partie de la famille "hamitique", cousine de la famille "sémitique". Et quand ils parlent français, que dire de leur "sémitude" ou "hamitude" ? On voit qu'on tombe dans le ridicule dès qu'on utilise ces mots pour désigner des faits qu'ils n'englobent pas.

Restons dans notre logique de fer et osons cette proposition en béton: "S'ils n'y a pas de Sémites, il n'y a pas d'antisémites".

La production du mot "antisémite" remonte à une époque où l'on croyait qu'il existait une "race juive", dite, de façon modernisée "race sémite". Il y avait des gens, il y a plus d'un siècle, qui ont parlé, écrit, prêché pour réduire ou supprimer l'influence juive dans certains domaines de la vie publique. C'est une époque où cette influence commençait à surgir, après l'éclatement des ghettos d'Europe centrale, et à se faire sentir dans différents pays d'Eurpe.. Nul ne niera que les populations juives d'Europe centrale et orientale ont vécu alors l'éclatement de leur société traditionnelle. Les murs du ghetto étant brusquement abattus, beaucoup de juifs ont migré vers les sociétés chrétiennes où il ont cherché à se faire une place et à exercer une influence, comme le ghetto le faisait auparavant, corporativement, pour assurer sa survie dans un monde qui le traitait comme une minorité religieuse toujours plus ou moins suspecte. Ajoutons que si racisme il y a, à cette époque, disons 1850-1950, il est partagé totalement par les juifs qui pensent eux aussi en termes de "race". On en trouverait mille témoignages.

Par conséquent, ceux qui emploient aujourd'hui les termes de "sémites " et d'"antisémites" ont recours à un vieil appareil idéologique qui suppose l'existence, et l'affrontement, des races identifiées par la langue parlée. C'est une attitude complètement archaïsante, abolie et enterrée par la science de notre temps.

Il est certain que la science de notre temps sera abolie et enterrée par la science du vingt-deuxième siècle, mais en attendant on devrait abandonner ces vieilles lunes et parler des choses identifiables: aujourd'hui, les juifs existent comme groupe, même si tous les "juifs" ne s'y retrouvent pas. Nombreux sont ceux qui ne veulent pas de cette tunique de Nessus. Le nom et le mot de "juif" sont aujourd'hui monopolisés par des petits groupes qui gouvernent les nombreuses "associations juives" et par l'establishment sioniste qui dirige l'Etat d'Israël. Rappelons une fois encore que l'Etat d'Israël identifie ses citoyens comme "juifs" et "non-juifs". Seuls les "juifs" ont tous les droits. Et inversement, n'importe quel juif, ou individu défini comme tel par des instances rabbinales plus ou mons corrompues, peut, du jour au lendemain, jouir de la plénitude des droits du citoyen de «l'Etat juif». On est dans le politico-religieux. Il est donc normal et utile de parler des "juifs" quand on parle de la politique ou des activités qui émanent de l'Etat israélien ou des communautés représentées par des dirigeants autoproclamés et richement rétribués. On ne parle pas de "sémites" dans ce cas-là. Donc les adversaires de ce système de pouvoir et de la terreur qu'il répand n'ont pas à être qualifiés d'antisémites, mais bel et bien d'antijuifs. Cet antijudaïsme n'est pas une attaque des personnes ou des identités religieuses, mais une simple réaction à la façon dont se qualifie ce pouvoir lui-même, qui massacre en Palestine et répand la terreur et l'oppression dans le monde entier, afin de faciliter le génocide des Palestiniens et de toutes les populations environnantes qui font obstacle à l'expansion sioniste, qui ne se connaît pas de limites territoriales ni de barrières morales.

Comme l'a bien vu le grotesque Taguieff, plus personne n'a recours au vieil antisémitisme raciste qui ne laisse aujourd'hui que des traces archéologiques. Mais ce qui est à l'ordre du jour est un antijudaïsme décidé à accompagner la destruction de l'Etat d'Israël, comme source d'une des pires oppressions du monde actuel. Cette tâche accomplie, avec le concours de très nombreux juifs, victimes eux-aussi de l'oppression sioniste, la lutte pour la liberté s'incarnera dans d'autres combats, et avec d'autres acteurs, tant il est vrai que depuis la création des Etats, au Moyen Orient, il y cinq mille ans, le besoin de lutter pour s'en libérer, qui a commencé en Egypte avec la première période dite "intermédiaire" (2150-2000 av. II Affaires sans suite, et sans début

D'après Le Monde du 26 novembre, le Kenya est secoué par une affaire, ou plutôt par la révélation des détails d'une affaire, qui est "'le plus grand scandale financier de l'histoire du Kenya", par une commission anti-corruption, mise en place par le nouveau président, élu à la fin de 2002. "Plusieurs centaines de millions de dollars ont été puisées directement dans les caisses de la banque centrale", dit le journal. C'est l'affaire Goldenberg.

C'est curieux comme nom, pour le Kenya. On attendait des consonnances plus swahilies, plus kikouyoues, ou même karamojongues. On se souvient que le Kenya est une plaque tournante pour le Mossad et tous les sales coups que font les Israéliens en Afrique orientale et en Afrique tout court. On a appris, à l'accasion d'un attentat bidon il y a un an, qu'une partie des installations touristiques sur les côtes de l'Océan indien sont sous contrôle israélien, ce qui permet de donner des vacances pas chères à tous ces pauvres Israéliens quand ils sont fatigués de massacrer et d'exploiter les Palestiniens. C'est vrai, c'est fatigant, ces choses-là et on a besoin de se refaire la cerise de temps en temps.

Mais on ne savait pas qu'un de ces Goldenberg, et il y en a partout, puisait librement dans lers caisses de la banque centrale. On va encore nous qualifier d'antisémite, mais ce n'est pas nous qui puisions ! Et pour échapper à cette dénonciation, Le Monde s'est soigneusement abstenu de nous parler de cette affaire, la plus grave de l'histoire de la corruption au Kenya, histoire déjà riche et chargée de mille inventions, toutes plus admirables les unes que les autres. Une brève recherche, grâce à cette terrible informatique, permet d'affirmer que Le Monde n'en a pas parlé, sauf cette fois-ci, de manière incidente et lacunaire. Or "l'affaire Goldenberg, qui remonte à 1992, a compromis l'ensemble de la classe dirigeante kenyane. Les pertes qu'elle a fait subir au Trésor sont estimées à 600 millions de dollars", nous dit un site africain en février 2003.

Et sur Google vous trouverez une floppée d'articles sur ce gigantesque détournement, un cinquième du produit national brut évaporé grâce aux bons soins de la banque Goldenberg. Voilà comment sont récompensés les malheureux pays qui font confiance à Israël. Sans compter les attentats que cela amène sur leur sol.

III Le sac de Genève

Il est sans doute trop tôt pour décrire tous les arrière-plans de l'affaire de Genève, une manoeuvre pour remettre en selle les petits malins d'Oslo qui cherchent les moyens de transformer les Palestiniens en valets de chambres et en harkis de la petite minorité russo-achkénaze qui a besoin de la plate-forme israélienne pour se livrer impunément au pillage de la planète. Il faut avoir l'esprit totalement égaré pour croire une seconde qu'on peut rayer d'un trait de plume le droit des réfugiés palestiniens à revenir chez eux. Bref, l'affaire est trop mince pour qu'on épilogue davantage. Bien sûr, la paix est une très belle, très utile et très noble aspiration. Mais pour y arriver il faut démanteler et désarmer la puissance génocidaire qui s'oppose à elle depuis 80 ans.

Le côté folklorique français a été assuré par un commando de comiques ("Des intellectuels français se remobilisent" titre Libé du 1er décembre 2003). En effet, si l'on en croit la divine Lévy-Willard, se sont auto-dépêchés à Genève les Marek Halter (faussaire juif), Bernard-Henri Lévy, faussaire non-juif se faisant passer pour juif, Alain Finkielkraut, juif post-lévinasien, Bernard Kouchner, juif social-libéral, Simone Veil, juive niçoise, Jack Lang, comédien juif, Jean Daniel, juif de Blida, Théo Klein, juif alsacien, et puis Patrick Klugman, juif professionnel, Patrick Benguigui dit Bruel, chantonneur, etc, sans compter la valetaille, les Arabes de service Malek Boutih, Fadela Amara, et autres bêtes de compagnie. Le journal appelle ces gens-là des "intellectuels français".

Une dépêche de l'AFP (Le Monde du 27 novembre 2003) affirme que "Les Etats-Unis réduisent leur garantie bancaire à Israël". Ils vont réduire de 289 millions de dollars ladite garantie "en raison de désaccords sur la politique de colonisation dans les territoires occupés et la construction de la «clôture de sécurité." ils n'osent même pas appeler "mur" un mur. Cette somme sera déduite des 3 milliards de dollars refilés à l'oeil aux génocidaires de Tel-Aviv. Sur ces trois milliards de dollars, 2,1 vont aux crédits militaires. Ceux qui critiquent les attentats-suicides n'ont qu'à se cotiser pour fournir aux Palestiniens 2 milliards de dollars d'aide militaire par an. Après, on verra.

Et puis cette petite phrase: "En plus des garanties bancaires, Israël a obtenu en 2003 une aide exceptionnelle de 1 milliard de dollars à la suite de la guerre d'Irak.

Israel gets new F-16I fighter/bomber

Pilots of the newest F-16I long-range fighter/bomber which is to roll off the assembly line in Texas Friday are itchy to get their hands on the $45 million jet.

Aerospace giant Lockheed Martin delivers the first F-16I at its plant here Friday to an Israeli delegation led by Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, fresh from his talks in Washington.

The rollout ceremony marks the interim phase in this $4.5 billion dollar deal, the largest arms deal ever taken in the history of the state. Lockheed Martin won the tender, beating rival Boeing, in 1999 to supply 102 of the advanced fighter jets which are aimed at strengthening the IAF's long reach, being able to reach nations like Iran and Libya.

The aircraft have been supplemented to Israel's specifications and are different from any other F-16, even in the service of the US Air Force. They are being paid for from the annual US military grants given to Israel, which this year stands at about $2.2 billion. [Ces jouets de mort sont donc gratos. The next phase is transporting the jets to Israel. The first is expected to arrive next month and gradually the whole squadron will be in place at the Ramon base deep in the Negev. A total of three squadrons will be delivered by 2008.

"We have not flown them yet," said Lt.-Col. A. [A comme Assassin] commander of the "Negev" squadron "We went through a conversion course in the United States and we flew the simulator. But we will only fly the real thing when it comes to the country. But after we flew the simulator we got real itchy to get in the cockpit and fly it already."

Lt.-Col. A. was plucked from his command of an F-15 squadron to command the new jet squadron. He said the Air Force gave him top priority in assembling the IAF's top aviators and ground crews to receive the new jets.

'This is a jet that doesn't exist elsewhere. We did not buy a jet that has experience in the US air force. This means that we will reach maturity in stages and it will take a while for the squadron to ripen and the jet reaches its full capacities," the 36-year-old squadron leader said.

"We don't' think about the price of the jet in terms of dollars, but in the defense of the state of Israel," he told The Jerusalem Post. "We do understand how much the country is investing in this and not just the platform, but also in the development of the south (where the F-16I squadrons will be based and families relocated)

"My hope is for us to be the spearhead of the IAF," Lt.-Col. A said.

With the arrival of the 102 F-16Is, Israel will have a total of 362 of the jets the largest fleet in any country in the world behind the United States. The F-16s are the backbone of the IAF, but these new "I" models will give added punch to the long-range capabilities of the IAF and will complement the squadron of F-15Is Israel received in the end of the 1990s.

The Air Force has nicknamed the F-16I as "Sufa," or thunderstorm. It has a 820 non-refueling radius of operation.

At a time when TV screens are filled with images of perceived weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq among people who are on the verge of starvation, the West turns a blind eye to the first biological terrorist in the Middle East, Israel, where the largest depot of WMD between London and Peking is located.

When confronted with the anomaly, the United States ambassador to the UN, John Negroponte, responds with typical cynicism, "Israel did not use these weapons against its people or its neighbours." Assuming that the ambassador is well-informed, this statement is a patent lie. Israel used biological weapons even before it was created on Arab soil in 1948 and ever since. The purpose, according to Ben Gurion, is genocide, and if not complete, the purpose is not to allow the dispossessed Palestinians to return to their homes.

Poisoning Acre water supply

In the wake of Haifa's occupation on 23 April 1948 by the Zionists, under the nose of the British Mandate forces commended by General Stockwell, a man still historically discredited for this failure, thousands converged on Acre, a nearby city, which was still Arab under the "protection" of the British forces.

Acre was to be the next Zionist target. The Zionists besieged the city from the land side, and started showering the population with a hail of mortar bombs day and night. Famous for its historical walls, Acre could stand the siege for a long time. The city water supply comes from a nearby village, Kabri, about 10kms to the north, through an aqueduct. The Zionists injected typhoid in the aqueduct at some intermediate point which passes through Zionist settlements.

The story can now be told, thanks to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) files which have now become available, 50 years after the event. A series of reports, under the reference G59/1/GC, G3/82, sent by ICRC delegate de Meuron from 6 May to about 19 May 1948 describe the conditions of the city population, struck by a sudden typhoid epidemic, and the efforts to combat it.

Of particular importance are the minutes of an emergency conference held at the Lebanese Red Cross Hospital in Acre on 6 May, to deal with the typhoid epidemic. The meeting was attended by: Brigadier Beveridge, Chief of British Medical Services and Colonel Bonnet of the British Army, Dr Maclean of the Medical Services, Mr de Meuron, ICRC delegate in addition to other officials of the city. The minutes stated that there are at least 70 known civilian casualties, others may not be reported. It was determined that the infection is "water borne", not due to crowded or unhygienic conditions as claimed by the Israelis. It was decided that a substitute water supply should now come from artesian wells or from the agricultural station, just north of Acre (see map), not from the aqueduct. Water chlorine solution was applied, inoculation of civil population started, movement of civil population was controlled (lest refugees heading north towards Lebanon will carry the typhoid epidemic with them, as intended by the Zionists).

In his other reports, de Meuron mentioned 55 casualties among British soldiers, who were spirited away to Port Said for hospitalisation. General Stockwell arranged for de Meuron to fly on a military plane to Jerusalem to fetch medicine. The British, who left Palestine in the hands of the Jews, did not want another embarrassing incident to delay their departure.

Brigadier Beveridge told de Meuron that this is "the first time this happened in Palestine". This belies the Israeli story, including that of the Israeli historian Benny Morris, that the epidemic is due to "unhygienic conditions" of the refugees. If that was so, how come there was an almost equal number of casualties among British soldiers? Why did such conditions not cause epidemic in such other concentrations of refugees, under far worse conditions, in Jaffa, Lydda, Nazareth and Gaza?

ICRC delegate, de Meuron admired greatly the heroic efforts of Arab doctors, Al-Dahhan and Al-Araj from the Lebanese Red Cross hospital in Acre, Dr Dabbas from Haifa and Mrs Bahai from Haifa.

The city of Acre, now burdened by the epidemic, fell easy prey to the Zionists. They intensified their bombardment. Trucks carrying loudspeakers proclaimed, "Surrender or commit suicide. We will destroy you to the last man." That was not a figure of speech. Palumbo, in The Palestinian Catastrophe, notes the "typical" case of Mohamed Fayez Soufi. Soufi with friends went to get food from their homes in a new Acre suburb. They were caught by Zionist soldiers and forced at gun point to drink cyanide. Soufi faked swallowing the poison. The others were not so lucky, they died in half an hour.

Lieutenant Petite, a French UN observer, reported that looting was being conducted in a systematic manner by the army, carrying off furniture, clothes and anything useful for the new Jewish immigrants and also part of "a Jewish plan to prevent the return of the refugees." Lieutenant Petite also reported that the Jews had murdered 100 Arab civilians in Acre, particularly those who refused to leave.

More horrors have been reported by de Meuron. He spoke of "a reign of terror" and the case of the rape of a girl by several soldiers and killing her father. He also wrote that all male civilians were taken to concentration camps and considered "prisoners of war" although they were not soldiers. This left many women and children homeless, without protection, subject to many acts of violence. He also notes the absence of water and electricity. He demanded from the Zionists a list of civilians detained as "prisoners of war", demanded to know their whereabouts and permission to visit them. More importantly he asked that Acre be placed under ICRC protection and care. Anyone who reads the familiar dry and matter-of-fact language of ICRC would not fail to notice the tone of abhorrence of Zionist actions in de Meuron reports from Acre.

This episode, which started with poisoning Acre water supply and ended with the collapse of the city, the depopulation of its inhabitants, and its occupation by the Jews, whetted their appetite to try this crime again.

Gaza poisoning

Two weeks later, after their "success" in Acre, the Zionists struck again. This time in Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of refugees had gathered after their villages in southern Palestine were occupied. The end however was different.

The following cable was sent from the commander of the Egyptian Forces in Palestine to General Headquarters in Cairo:

"15.20 hrs, 24 May [1948] Our Intelligence forces captured two Jews, David Horeen and David Mizrahi, loitering around army positions. They were interrogated and confessed they had been sent by Officer Moshe to poison the army [and the peoples'] water supply. They carried with them water bottles divided in the middle. The top part has potable water and the bottom part has a liquid contaminated with typhoid and dysentery, equipped with a rear opening from which the liquid can be released. They confessed they were members of a 20-strong team sent from Rehovot for the same purpose. Both have written their confession in Hebrew and signed it. We have taken the necessary medical precautions."

In Ben Gurion's War Diary, the following entry is found on 27 May 1948:

"[Chief of Staff Yigel Yadin] picked up a cable from Gaza saying they captured Jews carrying malaria germs and gave instructions not to drink water". This is typical of Ben Gurion's oblique writing of history. He was fully aware of the weight of history when such crimes are discovered. Nuremberg trials were held only three years before. More on the background of this cable was given in Yeruham Cohen's book, In Daylight and Night Darkness, Tel Aviv, 1969, pp66-68 (in Hebrew).

The criminals were executed three months later. On 22 July 1948, the [Palestinian] Higher Arab Committee (AHC) submitted a 13-page report to the United Nations accusing the Jews of using "inhuman" weapons and waging a genocide war against the Arabs through the use of bacteria and germs, developed in specially-built laboratories. The report also accuses the Jews (the word Israel was not used) of spreading cholera in Egypt and Syria in 1947/48. The story was picked up by the award-winning journalist, Thomas J Hamilton of the New York Times and published on 24 July 1948. The story now has a new twist- adding Egypt and Syria to the Jewish field of operations.

Cholera in Egypt and Syria

The summer of 1947 was hot with diplomatic activity. The United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP) was busy touring Palestine and Arab countries in order to propose the partition of Palestine such that the new Jewish immigrants to Palestine, who controlled only six per cent of Palestine under the British Mandate, be given a big chunk of Palestine (turned out to be 54 per cent) in order to establish a foreign state in the midst of Arab land.

The Arabs, still under the tutelage of Britain, were debating how to resist the Western-supported scheme to take away their land. The forces to reckon with were neighbouring countries with common borders with Palestine. Lebanon was weak. Trans-Jordan was still controlled directly by the British and King Abdullah was conciliatory to the Jews. This left Egypt, the stronger Arab country and Syria, recently freed from the clutches of the French Mandate. Syria was the centre of Arab resistance to the foreign occupation of Palestine. Training centres were established in Qatana to prepare Arab volunteers to enter Palestine under the banner of "The Arab Rescue Army". Egypt and Palestine were thus the most important targets.

In his 220-page continually updated report, entitled: Bioterrorism and Biocrimes: The Illicit Use of Biological Agents since 1900, dated February 2001, Dr W. Seth Carus of the Center for Counterproliferation Research, National Defence University, Washington, DC, lists the following subtitle, p.87: Case 1947-01: "Zionist" Terrorists 1947-1948.

Under this section, he mentions that the cholera outbreaks in Syria and Egypt received extensive attention in the international press. The first report about the cholera in Egypt was published in the Times of London on 26 September, 1947, p. 4. By the time the final cases appeared in January 1948, 10,262 people died.

He also states that the outbreak in Syria is much smaller. It was limited to two towns, about 60 kilometres south of Damascus, i.e. close to Palestine border. The first report appeared in the New York Times on 22 December, 1947, p5.

The Syrian army formed a cordon sanitaire and the casualties were limited to 44, including 18 deaths. Soon after, the Beirut French-language newspaper, L'Orient, reported that several Zionist agents, who employed cholera to disrupt the mobilisation of the volunteers' army, were arrested. Their destiny is unknown.

These incidents, together with Gaza poisoning, Carus states, were described in the AHC complaint to the UN and quotes the report in saying that:

 

"The Jews plan to use this inhuman weapon against the Arabs in the Middle East in their war of extermination."

Carus adds information from other sources about the Gaza poisoning. Rachel Katzman, Horeen's sister, Carus stated, said: "I met one of [my brother's] commanders in a lecture in Jerusalem. I asked him whether my brother had really attempted to poison wells. 'These were the weapons we had', he said, 'and that's that.'"

Carus also adds another source about Acre poisoning: This source sates, "This account also claims that the Israelis poisoned the water supply of the Arab town of Acre, causing a major outbreak, and other Arab villages to prevent the villagers from returning, citing military historian Uri Milstein as a source" [Wendy Barnaby, The Plague Makers: The Secret World of Biological Warfare, London, Vision Paperbacks, 1997, p. 114-116].

The writer has obtained a copy of an e-mail in which an Israeli peace activist asked Uri Milstein about Acre poisoning story. Milstein, the military historian, is described in the e-mail as "very knowledgeable, intelligent, courageous, original, honest" -- although his views belong to the Israeli far-right (!). Milstein replied:

"I am sorry to say it, but the story is true and the name of the operation was "Shlach Lachmecha" -- that is "donate your bread", which is a part of Hebrew saying: donate your bread because sooner or later you will get it back, meaning you have to be generous and one day, you will profit from it yourself. Is this not a cute name for an operation to use biological weapons?"

 

How did Ben Gurion start all this?

On the fourth of March 1948, Ben Gurion wrote a letter to Ehud Avriel, one of the Jewish Agency operatives in Europe, ordering him to recruit East European Jewish scientists who could "either increase [our] capacity to kill masses or to cure masses; both are important". This truncated quotation is given by Avner Cohen who cited an author in Ben Gurion Research Centre at Sdeh Boker.

To understand the meaning of this quotation we must recall Ben Gurion's doctrine: the destruction of the Palestinian Society in Palestine is a necessary condition for the establishment of the state of Israel on its ruins. As a corollary to this doctrine, ethnic cleansing became an integral part of Zionism. If Palestinians cannot be removed by massacres and expulsion, they shall be removed by "extermination". Such words were specifically used in AHC letter mentioned above. The significance of this word is that it was rarely used by Arabs regarding their fate. Europe's horrors were either remote or not widely known then.

The caveat by Ben Gurion as "to cure the masses" is yet another twist by Ben Gurion with an eye on history. For it is inconceivable that the Arabs have the ability or the will in 1948 to cause "mass killing" of the Jews using biological weapons. As it happened, Ben Gurion was the first to use such weapons. His legacy, much more refined and expanded, remains true till today.

Avner Cohen, a senior fellow at the Center for International and Security Studies, and the Program on Security and Disarmaments at the University of Maryland, wrote a comprehensive paper on Israel's chemical and biological weapons, which was published in the Non-Proliferation Review, Autumn 2001. LINKLINKLINK actu/actu03/doc2003/Cohen.pdf] Notwithstanding his background, which furnishes a sympathetic understanding of Israel's motives, his paper traces in 50 pages of detail, from open sources and few interviews, the establishment and development of Israel's centre for biological terrorism.

Thrusting Israel in the heart of the Arab world, Ben Gurion was determined to achieve this extraordinary objective against all odds. "We are inferior to other peoples in our number, but no other people is superior to us in intellectual prowess," Ben Gurion remarked.

In the 1940s, he gathered around him Ernst David Bergmann, Avraham Marcus (Marek) Klingberg (from the Red Army) and the brothers Aharon and Ephraim Katachalsky (Katzir) -- all experts in microbiology. They formed the nucleus of the Science Corps in the Haganah during the British Mandate. Ephraim Katachalsky was named commander of this new unit, renamed HEMED, in May 1948. A dispute arose between Chaim Weizmann who wished to establish a scientific institute for "clean" science, while Ben Gurion insisted on building a "dirty" centre for biological weapons. Both got their wishes realised. Weizmann Institute for scientific research was built in Rehovot. A new unit within HEMED, devoted to biological weapons and named HEMED BEIT, was formed as a branch of the Israeli Army. Its head was Alexander Keynan, a microbiologist from the medical school at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

With the depopulation of 530 Palestinian towns and villages in Al-Nakba of 1948, many buildings and homes became vacant and over half of the Jewish immigrants in the 1950s were housed in them. The Chief of Staff Yigal Yadin selected a home for the new biological weapons development unit in a mansion located within a large orange grove west of Nes Ziona. This unit, publicly known as Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR), is still there today. The building was expanded, surrounded by a three metre wall, movement sensors and watch towers.

While IIBR represents the front of a scientific institution, producing a "clean" papers and receiving invitations to scientific conferences, the real biological weapons developed is carried within IIBR in a highly classified centre (Machon 2, one of four) funded and controlled directly by the Ministry of Defence.

IIBR Web site states that the institute's staff comprises 300 employees, 120 of them PhD holders, in addition to 100 certified technicians. But these figures are misleading because there are many other scientists who hold positions in microbiology departments in faculties of medicine in Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Ephraim Katzir was rewarded for his service to the state by being elected as president of Israel in 1973. Aharon Katzir was killed in the Japanese attack on Lydda airport on 30 May, 1972. Soon after the poisoning of Acre and Gaza, Ben Gurion launched a crash project to develop "a cheap non-conventional capability" in 1955. Why the rush? As Cohen reports, Munya Mardor, the founder of Israel's Weapons Development Authority (RAFAEL), says that Ben Gurion was "evidently concerned that we would not meet the deadline he had set, worrying that the enemy would have such capability and we would have nothing to deter or retaliate". It turned out that the rush was to meet the deadline for the Suez Tripartite Aggression of 1956. Ben Gurion was prepared to bomb Egypt with biological weapons if his campaign failed. [Toujours ce merveilleux humanisme juif... ] As if that was not enough, Israel signed an agreement with France to build a nuclear programme in the same year. Ben Gurion's emissary to France was none other than the peace-loving diplomat Shimon Pensky (Perez).

Anver Cohen says that the location of IIBR is classified and not shown on maps or aerial photographs. It is still possible, however, to determine its location with accuracy.

Where is IIBR?

In the 1930s, the road from Ramleh to Nabi Rubin, a popular religious site visited annually, passes through Wadi Hunein, a good sandy soil with spots of marshes. The wealthy Al-Taji Al-Farouki family from Ramleh purchased large tracts of this land and developed it into successful citrus groves which exported hundreds of thousands of Jaffa orange boxes to Europe. Shukri Al-Taji built for himself a beautiful mansion -- a two-storey rectangular building on top of a hill, on a plot of land, 134,029 m2 in area. The plot number is 549/32 and the property deed is entered in the Land Registry under E42/260 on 16 March 1932. He also built a mosque on the asphalt road from Jaffa to Qubeiba. On another hill, one kilometre to the west, his cousin Abdel-Rahman Hamed Al-Taji built a house which consists of several buildings. The mansions in the midst of vast orange groves depicted an idyllic scene in quiet surroundings.

This is the location chosen by Yigal Yadin for his biological weapons research. Shukri Al Taji mansion became the home of IIBR. The IIBR Web site (<www.iibr.gov.il>) proudly shows on the opening page its building entrance, which is nothing but Shukri's mansion with its arched façade and tall lush trees. Shukri died broken hearted in Cairo some ten years later.

If you drive from Nes Ziona going west on road 4303, then turn left at road 42 heading south, you will find IIBR at your right at a distance of 500 metres. The area is called "Ayalon" in Hebrew. Directly to the west on the sea coast is the missile launching pad of Palmahim.

Other Al-Taji buildings were expropriated and used. The mosque is transformed into a synagogue, named "Gulat Israel". Abdel-Rahman's house became a mental hospital.

Chasing the culprits

Sara Leibovitz-Dar is a persistent investigative journalist. The trauma experienced by her parents in their native Lithuania left an indelible mark on her. She abhorred injustice and, particularly, the meek acceptance of it. She investigated the Gaza and Acre poisoning and shooting down of the civilian Libyan aircraft. The Israeli military historian, Uri Milstein, identified for her the names of the officers responsible for biological crimes.

In 1993, Sara tried to interview the commander who was responsible for Acre poisoning. He refused to talk. "Why do you look for troubles that took place 45 years ago?" he asked. "I know nothing about this. What would you gain by publishing?"

Again, Sara interviewed the officer responsible for Gaza poisoning. He refused to respond, "You will not get answers on these questions. Not from me and not from anyone." Sara was persistent. She asked Colonel Shlomo Gur, former HEMED chief, whether he was aware of the secret operations in 1948. "We heard about the typhoid epidemics in Acre and about the Gaza operations. There were many rumours but I did not know whether they were true or not," he responded.

Sara published her findings in Hadashot under the title "Microbes in State Service", on 13 August, 1993, p. 6-10. Sara, who now moved to Ha'aretz, concluded with the following comment,

"What was done then with deep conviction and zealotry is now concealed with shame." True to the Israeli tradition, Sara declined twice to respond by e-mail to an enquiry from the writer.

Not all are afraid to talk. Naeim Giladi is an Iraqi Jew who was lured to Israel by Mossad agents in the early 1950s. Working with the zealotry and dedication of a new Zionist, he soon found out that within the Ashkenazi establishment "there was not much opportunity for those of us who were second class citizens", he told the editor of The Link in New York where he immigrated after leaving Israel. "I began to find out about the barbaric methods to rid the fledgling state of as many Palestinians as possible. The world recoils today at the thought of bacteriological warfare, but Israel was probably the first to actually use it in the Middle East. Jewish forces would empty Arab villages of their population often by threats, sometimes by gunning down a half-dozen young men so that the Arabs could not return. The Israelis put typhus and dysentery bacteria in the water wells to prevent the refugees from returning". [The Link, Vol. 31 Issue 2, April-May 1998].

Another witness who spoke, former Mossad agent, Victor Ostrovsky, claims that lethal tests have been performed on Arab prisoners inside the IIBR compound.

The Dutch investigation

On 4 October, 1992 at 6.21pm, El Al Flight 1862 left Amsterdam's Schiphol airport on route to Tel Aviv, carrying three crewmen, one passenger and 114 tons of freight. Seven minutes later, it crashed in a high-rise apartment complex in Bijlmer. El Al Flight 1862 became the worst air disaster in Dutch history, killing at least 47 (the actual number is unknown because many victims were immigrants) and destroyed the health of 3000 Dutch residents. Cases of mysterious illnesses, rashes, difficulty in breathing, nervous disorders and cancer began to sprout in that neighbourhood and beyond.

The Dutch government, in collusion with Israel, lied to its citizens saying the plane was carrying perfumes and flowers. Some flowers! It took the energetic and persistent science editor in the Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad, Karel Knip, several years to discover the facts. Knip published on 27 November 1999 the most detailed and factual published investigation about the workings of biological terrorism housed in IIBR.

First he found out that the plane was carrying 50 gallons, among other things, of DMMP a substance used to make a quarter ton of the deadly nerve gas Sarin, 20 times as lethal as cyanide. It was carrying a shipment from Solkatronic Chemicals of Morrisville, Pennsylvania to IIBR in Israel, under a US Department of Commerce licence. This is contrary to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) to which the US, but not Israel, is party.

With dogged determination, Knip reviewed the scientific literature produced by IIBR and the microbiology departments of the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Tel Aviv and the Hebrew University since 1950. He was able to identify 140 scientists involved in biological weapons (BW) research. The number could be more as scientists have dual positions or they move around. Many take their sabbaticals invariably in the United States. There are strong links with Walter Reed Army Institute, the Uniformed Services University, the American Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) Center in Edgewood and the University of Utah.

Remarkably, Knip was able to identify three categories of IIBR production: diseases, toxins and convulsants, and their development in each decade of the five past decades.

The research moved from virus and bacteria to toxins because they are many times more poisonous. Nerve gases known as Tabun, Soman, Sarin, VX, Cyclo-Sarin, RVX and Amiton are all deadly gases and function in the same way.

Knip went further. He sought the assistance of experts in this field such as Professor Julian Perry Robinson, University of Sussex, Brighton, Dr Jean Pascal Zanders of SIPRI, Stockholm and Professor Malcolm Dando, University of Bradford. They guided his research and explained his findings.

Knip also discovered close cooperation between IIBR and the British-American BW [Bacteriological Warfare] programme. This programme deals with viruses and bacteria spread by rodents and insects and covers smallpox, fungal diseases and Legionnaires disease. It is to be noted that there was a breakout of this disease in Philadelphia some years ago, and, surprisingly, in an Eilat hotel in mid- January this year.

The interest in the plant poison Elate-Ricin is confined to very few institutions beside IIBR. It will be recalled that amateur biologists were arrested in UK in January attempting to prepare Ricin.

The novel and dangerous trend in BW research in IIBR is the development of incapacitants which paralyse, disorient, cause uncontrollable movements and severe pain in the stomach. Most of these incapacitants have antidotes to repair the damage done. These incapacitants have been and are used against the Palestinians in the Intifada.

There is also extensive collaboration on BW research with Germany and Holland. That is probably the reason for the Dutch official silence over the deadly crash over Amsterdam.

The cooperation with the US is quite open. The Congress "Joint Medical, Biological and Nuclear Defence Research Programs" openly lists cooperation with Israel on nerve agents and convulsants under the guise of finding antidotes. It is plainly simple to realise that in order to develop the antidote it is necessary to identify the poison itself. Dr Avigdor Shafferman, IIBR director, is a frequent contributor to this programme.

The Preparatory Commission for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague turns a blind eye to the Israeli criminal activities. Ironically, Israeli researchers guide OPCW on methods to detect Chemical Weapons. Israeli researchers R. Barak, A. Lorber and Z. Boger of IIBR, CHEMO Solutions and Rotem Industries respectively propose methods to detect chemical warfare agents. No international body seems to be willing to apply these methods on Israel.

The mechanism to do this monitoring is available. The American Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Center has the wherewithal to inspect suspect laboratories. But it is unlikely to see a team of inspectors headed by an American Blix searching the secret chambers of IIBR.

This may, however, not apply to conscientious scientists. Professor Keith Yamamoto, of the University of California and Dr Jonathan King of MIT criticised the American BW research and showed that attempting to modify toxins (as IIBR does) can hardly be considered "defensive" research. But Israel's turn in such criticism seems far-off at present.

The Palestinian victims

The biological crimes perpetrated against the Palestinians in Acre and Gaza in 1948 are still being enacted today.

In 1997, Mossad agents tried to assassinate Khaled Mish'al, Hamas Political Bureau's director in Amman. King Hussein was furious at the blatant violation of Jordan's sovereignty and of the Peace Treaty with Israel. As the attempt failed, thanks to Mish'al's bodyguard, Israel sent a lady doctor with the antidote. The toxin used is likely to be SEB applied through a special gun which has a range of 50 metres. and could inject the toxin in the neck.

The stories about nerve gas applied against school children abound. So are the cases in which CBW are used. Neil Sammonds lists these cases:

-- Chemical defoliants against Palestinian crops in Ain Al- Beida in 1968, Aqraba in 1972, Mejdel Beni Fadil in 1978 and Negev in 2002.

-- Chemical Weapons, including hydrogen cyanide, nerve gas and phosphorous shells in the 1982 war on Lebanon.

-- Lethal gas against Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners.

But the case which was widely publicised all over the world and fully documented by several international NGOs is the application of incapacitants, particularly in Khan Younis, in February 2001. The pictures of victims twisting with severe pain and uncontrollable convulsions were splashed on TV screens everywhere.

James Brooks of "Just Peace in Palestine/Israel" gave a detailed account of this BW attack on civilians day by day as it happened. First, the victims thought it was tear gas. It had a faint odour like mint. It smelled "like sugar", one victim reported. It changed colour "like a rainbow". Fifteen minutes later, the victim felt that his "stomach was torn apart, with burning sensation in [his] chest, could not breathe". Soon convulsions started. The victim would jump up and down, left and right, thrashing limbs around, with a kind of hysteria. Some victims were unconscious. The victim would vomit incessantly and then pain would return. This would go on for days or, for some, weeks.

In addition to the numerous press and human rights reports, convulsing poison gas victims in Khan Younis were filmed by the American filmmaker James Longley, in a documentary that "pushes the viewer headlong into the tumult of the Israeli-occupied Gaza". Longley compiled a 43-page document of interviews with 19 gas victims, their relatives, nurses and doctors.

These devilish incapacitants drew the protest of some NGOs but little else. No international investigation or censorship of any kind, even though this was repeatedly used in March in Al-Birch, Nablus and West Bank and yet again in Gaza later that month.

Just the contrary. There was a wide-spread Zionist-orchestrated condemnation and disapproval when, in November 1999, Suha Arafat, the president's wife, charged the Israelis with the use of "poison gas" in the presence of the aspiring politician Hillary Clinton. The height of hypocrisy and cynicism was attained when the incensed Israeli authorities declared that Suha's factual statement is "a violation of the peace process"!

There are as yet unseen and long-term effects of toxins and incapacitants. On 3 February, 2003, Dr Khamis Al-Najjar, director of Cancer Research Centre of the Ministry of Health in Ramallah reported an alarming increase in cancer cases, especially among women and children. The report covers the period 1995-2000 and shows 3646 cases, with more than half among females. The cases in Gaza are more than the West Bank. The report, citing the rate of increase, predicts that cases will triple in the near future. Taking note of the Israelis' paranoia about Palestinian demography and judging by their previous record, it is possible that the accumulative effect of the Israeli application of toxins and incapacitants has produced the increased incidence of cancer cases. A similar study is yet to be made on fetus and newborn babies.

Where do we go from here ?

Israel has signed but not ratified the Chemical Weapons Convention and is not a party to the Biological Weapons Convention. Israel does not recognise the application of the Fourth Geneva Convention on the Occupied Palestinian Territories of the West Bank and Gaza, as the rest of the world does. This is not surprising. Israel violates every rule in the book.

Article 147 of the Geneva Convention stipulates that to "willingly cause [civilians] great suffering or serious injury to body or health" is a "grave breach", which, according to Article 146, requires all High Contracting Parties to "search for persons alleged to have committed or to have ordered to commit such grave breaches" and must "bring such person regardless of their nationality before their own courts". If this is applied, Sharon and his officers will stand behind bars in a Belgian court for a long time.

There is a plethora of conventions which Israel constantly violated, starting with Geneva Protocol of 1925 on Poisonous Gas to the 1993 Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons.

With this background, it seems a mockery of justice to despatch hundreds of inspectors to destroyed workshops and private homes in Iraq, while huge tons of weapons of mass destruction are staring them in the eye in Israel. Perhaps the 10 million people in 600 cities around the world who demonstrated against the war on Iraq on 15 and 16 February were trying to point out this irony in refusing this war. Some placards said so in clear terms.

Perhaps the domestic voice in Israel may be listened to more attentively. The Mayor of Nes Ziona, located a mere 10 kilometres away from Tel Aviv centre, complained that the proximity of IIBR to his city poses a great danger to the population, in case of accident. He is right. The Science Committee in the Knesset reported 22 casualties including three fatal cases in the last 15 years. But these were mild cases.

What would be the situation if a big accident happens on a windy day, causing explosion of tons of toxics and its evaporation in the sky, in a congested neighbourhood, where three million people live in an area of barely 1000 sqkms, that is 35X35 km? Ben Gurion, while cooking his evil plans to "exterminate" the Arabs, did not envisage this scenario in his wildest dreams.

De in 1992 boven de Bijlmermeer verongelukte El Al-Boeing had 240 kilo aan boord van een stof, DMMP, die essentieel is voor de productie van Sarin. Deskundigen kunnen zich niet voorstellen dat de stof voor iets anders bedoeld was dan de productie van dit zenuwgas. Wat wilden de Israeliërs ermee?

Rotterdam, 30 Sept.[1998] De El Al-Boeing die in oktober 1992 in de Bijlmermeer verongelukte had 240 kilo van de grondstof DMMP aan boord. De lading was ingenomen in New York en had Israel als eindbestemming. DMMP, dimethyl methylphosphonate in het Engels, is een van de grondstoffen voor het zenuwgas Sarin. Het verhoudt zich tot Sarin als de 'precursor' O-EMPTA, die in Soedan zou zijn aangetroffen in de onlangs door Amerika gebombardeerde fabriek, tot het zenuwgas VX. Beide zijn zogenoemde 'schedule 2 stoffen' volgens de definitie van de Conventie tegen chemische wapens. Dat betekent dat de stoffen enerzijds essentieel zijn voor de productie van chemische wapens en anderzijds niet in 'grote commerciële hoeveelheden' voor vredelievende doelen worden geproduceerd.

DMMP staat al jaren hoog op de internationale exportlijsten, de stof staat nummer drie op de lijst van 'chemische stoffen geschikt voor het vervaardigen van toxische stoffen' uit het Nederlandse Handboek Strategische goederen. Al sinds 1987 maakt DMMP deel uit van de 'core list' van de acht meest proliferatie-gevoelige chemicaliën die wordt gehanteerd door de zogenoemde Australië Groep, een club van voornamelijk Westerse landen die in 1984 werd opgericht om een einde te maken aan de al te gemakkelijke verkrijgbaarheid van grondstoffen voor chemische wapens.

De toevallige vondst van een grote partij DMMP moet dus wel alarmbellen doen rinkelen, zeker als het Israel Institute for Biologial Research als bestemming staat vermeld. Het IIBR in Ness-Ziona, zo'n 25 kilometer van Tel Aviv, staat in vakkringen bekend als Israels centrum van onderzoek naar chemische en biologische wapens.

Pour qui connaît mes travaux en philosophie, psychanalyse, bioéthique, biopolitique et origine du monothéisme, il est évident que la question de ce faux télévisuel doit être posée de manière historique et théologico-politique.

S'agit-il d'un "simple" dérapage médiatique ou d'un signal pour déclencher une guerre ? La problématique actuelle de l'antisionisme et des nouvelles formes de l'antisémitisme se pose désormais aussi à l'endroit de cette question.

Occupied Jerusalem: 30 October, 2003 (IAP News) Zionist regime authorities have destroyed a shipment of medicine, vitamins and other food supplements to disabled Palestinian children in the refugee camps in the Gaza Strip, some of whom suffer from down syndrome and malnutrition.

According to officials of al-Awda hospital in Gaza, the shipment is worth tens of thousands of dollar. "The shipment was held at the airport in Tel Aviv and we were told that certain documents were needed. However when the documents were provided and every time we submitted a document, another was demanded," said Dr. M. al Farra of the Awda hospital. "Eventually, the Israeli government destroyed the shipment of the vitamins without any explanation."

The shipment in question was donated by the US-based Holy Land Trust, a Christian charity.

24/10/03 - Bush chahuté à Canberra

Lors de son discours à la session conjointe du Parlement fédéral australien, George Bush a été apostrophé par les deux sénateurs verts Bob Brown et Kerry Nettle, qui brandissaient des photos de Terry Hicks et de Mamdouh Habib, ainsi que par Ahmed, le fils de Mamdouh Habib, qui était dans la galerie du public avec sa mère et leur avocat. Il a eu le temps de crier : , avant d'être expulsé par les gardes de sécurité.

Les perturbateurs ont été expulsés de la salle et les deux sénateurs ont été sanctionnés en étant interdits d'accès au Parlement pour 24 heures. Bush s'est attiré les applaudissements en commentant les apostrophes par ces mots: "I love free speech" ("J'aime la liberté d'expression"). Plusieurs dizaines de parlementaires sont restés assis à la fin du discours de Bush, pour marquer leur désaccord en restant "corrects".

A l'extérieur, plus de 5 000 manifestants exigeaient que l'Australie cesse de soutenir l'occupation US de l'Iraq. Bush et Howard ont évoqué le cas des deux détenus australiens de Guantanamo. Bush a promis que ces "gens seront traités en conformité avec nos règles." Il a une fois de plus rejeté les allégations de torture comme "ridicules".

29/10/03 - Les sénateurs verts australiens traités de "nazis"

Le sénat australien a examiné une motion des sénateurs verts demandant que la commission des procédures du Sénat statue sur les sessions parlementaires conjointes auxquelles des leaders étrangers en visite s'adressent, comme cela a été le cas la semaine dernière pour le président US puis, le lendemain, pour le président chinois. Au cours du débat, le sénateur libéral George Brandis a violemment attaqué les deux sénateurs verts Bob Brown et Kerry Nettle, qualifié de "vrais fanatiques", utilisant des méthodes similaires à celles des nazis, du fait de leur "nationalisme ignorant reflété de la manière la plus évidente dans leur haine de la globalisation". La colère du "libéral" était provoquée par l'incident déclenché par les deux élus verts, qui avaient apostrophé le président Bush, lors de son discours au Parlement la semaine dernière.

US fires Guantanamo defence team

A team of military lawyers recruited to defend alleged terrorists held by the US at Guantanamo Bay was dismissed by the Pentagon after some of its members rebelled against the unfair way the trials have been designed, the Guardian has learned.

And some members of the new legal defence team remain deeply unhappy with the trials -- known as "military commissions" -- believing them to be slanted towards the prosecution and an affront to modern US military justice.

Of the more than 600 detainees at the US prison camp at Guantanamo, none has been charged with any crime, and none has had access to a lawyer, although some have been in captivity of one kind or another for two years.

But the US has repeatedly promised that at least some of the prisoners will be charged and tried by military commissions, an arcane form of tribunal based on long-disused models from the 1940s.

When charged, a prisoner will be assigned a uniformed military defence lawyer. The prisoners have a theoretical right to a civilian lawyer, but the US has placed financial and bureaucratic obstacles in the way of this.

A former military lawyer with good contacts in the US military legal establishment said that the first group of defence lawyers the Pentagon recruited for Guantanamo balked at the commission rules, which insist, among other restrictions, that the government be allowed to listen in to any conversations between attorney and client.

"There was a circular that went out to military lawyers in the early spring of 2003 which said 'we are looking for volunteers' for defence counsel," said the ex-military lawyer. "There was a selection process, and the people they selected were the right people, they had the right credentials, they were good lawyers.

"The first day, when they were being briefed on the dos and don'ts, at least a couple said: 'You can't impose these restrictions on us because we can't properly represent our clients.'

"When the group decided they weren't going to go along, they were relieved. They reported in the morning and got fired that afternoon."

The Pentagon's recently set up Office of Military Commissions denied the claim. "That is not true, never happened," said its spokesman, Major John Smith. "The military commission is a tool of justice. I expect some of these individuals [on Guantanamo] will plead not guilty, and will be represented zealously by their lawyers."

Yet the Guardian understands from a uniformed source with intimate knowledge of the mood among the current military defence team, six lawyers strong, that there is deep unhappiness about the commission set-up.

"It's like you took military justice, gave it to a prosecutor and said, 'modify it any way you want'," the source said. "The government would like to say we have done these commissions before. But what happened AFTER [the Nazi cases] was the military justice system changed. What we have done is stupid. It is, I would say, an insult to the military, to the evolution of the military justice system. They want to take us back to 1942."

Two Britons, Moazzam Begg and Feroz Abassi, are among the Guantanamo prisoners that President George Bush has "designated" for trial. The military defence lawyers in Washington are still waiting for permission to fly to Guantanamo.

In an investigation into the Guantanamo prison camp, the Guardian has also learned that a number of prisoners, thought to be between two and five, are kept permanently isolated in a super-secure facility within the main prison camp at Guantanamo, Camp Delta.

but U. S. Subcontractors Hire Cheap Migrant Laborers

 

October 16, 2003. Even though seven million Iraqis are unemployed [1], U.S. sub-contractors are rebuilding the Iraqi infrastructure with cheap migrant labor from South Asia. [2] The use of Asian laborers is at odds with President Bush's emphasis on the importance of Iraqis taking on the job themselves.

Bush has said the key to "rebuilding a democratic and prosperous Iraq is the Iraqi people themselves." [3] Paul Bremer, the Bush appointee overseeing post-war Iraq, likewise has talked of the need to turn around the country's 60 percent unemployment rate and "to fix a very sick economy." [4]

However, the head of the Iraqi Jobless Association, Kasem Hadi, is critical of the Bush Administration's lack of progress. "Following four rounds of talks with [Bremer's] representatives, we made no progress regarding the unemployment crisis," [5] Hadi says.

Meanwhile, U.S. Brigadier General Janis Karpinski, one of Bremer's colleagues, has raised questions about the reliability of foreign workers. "You find [them] in out-of-the-way corners taking 15 minute naps," she notes. [6]

At the same time, officials of the Iraqi Governing Council are concerned that large American contractors, including Halliburton and Bechtel, may be inflating the cost of the reconstruction projects. The Iraqi governors told members of the U.S. Congress that Iraqi companies could be doing the work at 10 percent of the cost. [7]

"Something" felled an M1A1 Abrams tank in Iraq but what?

 

Mystery behind Aug. 28 incident puzzles Army officials

Shortly before dawn on Aug. 28, an M1A1 Abrams tank on routine patrol in Baghdad "was hit by something" that crippled the 69-ton behemoth. Army officials still are puzzling over what that "something" was.

According to an unclassified Army report, the mystery projectile punched through the vehicle's skirt and drilled a pencil-sized hole through the hull. The hole was so small that "my little finger will not go into it," the report's author noted.

The "something" continued into the crew compartment, where it passed through the gunner's seatback, grazed the kidney area of the gunner's flak jacket and finally came to rest after boring a hole 11/2 to 2 inches deep in the hull on the far side of the tank.

As it passed through the interior, it hit enough critical components to knock the tank out of action. That made the tank one of only two Abrams disabled by enemy fire during the Iraq war and one of only a handful of "mobility kills" since they first rumbled onto the scene 20 years ago. The other Abrams knocked out this year in Iraq was hit by an RPG-7, a rocket-propelled grenade.

Experts believe whatever it is that knocked out the tank in August was not an RPG-7 but most likely something new and that worries tank drivers. [Nous entrons dans le domaine du bricolage de génie. Mystery and anxiety

Terry Hughes is a technical representative from Rock Island Arsenal, Ill., who examined the tank in Baghdad and wrote the report.

In the sort of excited language seldom included in official Army documents, he said, "The unit is very anxious to have this `SOMETHING' identified. It seems clear that a penetrator of a yellow molten metal is what caused the damage, but what weapon fires such a round and precisely what sort of round is it? The bad guys are using something unknown and the guys facing it want very much to know what it is and how they can defend themselves."

Nevertheless, the Abrams continues its record of providing extraordinary crew protection. The four-man crew suffered only minor injuries in the attack. The tank commander received "minor shrapnel wounds to the legs and arms and the gunner got some in his arm" as a result of the attack, according to the report.

Whatever penetrated the tank created enough heat inside the hull to activate the vehicle's Halon firefighting gear, which probably prevented more serious injuries to the crew.

The soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 1st Armor Division who were targets of the attack weren't the only ones wondering what damaged their 69-ton tank.

Hughes also was puzzled. "Can someone tell us?" he wrote. "If not, can we get an expert on foreign munitions over here to examine this vehicle before repairs are begun? Please respond quickly."

His report went to the office of the combat systems program manager at the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command in Warren, Mich. A command spokesman said he could provide no information about the incident.

"The information is sensitive," he said. "It looks like [members of the program manager's office] are not going to release any information right now."

While it's impossible to determine what caused the damage without actually examining the tank, some conclusions can be drawn from photos that accompanied the incident report. Those photos show a pencil-size penetration hole through the tank body, but very little sign of the distinctive damage called spalling that typically occurs on the inside surface after a hollow- or shaped-charge warhead from an anti-tank weapon burns its way through armor.

Spalling results when an armor penetrator pushes a stream of molten metal ahead of it as it bores through an armored vehicle's protective skin.

"It's a real strange impact," said a source who has worked both as a tank designer and as an anti-tank weapons engineer. "This is a new one. It almost definitely is a hollow-charge warhead of some sort, but probably not an RPG-7" anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade.

The well-known RPG-7 has been the scourge of lightly armored vehicles since its introduction more than 40 years ago. Its hollow-charge warhead easily could punch through an M1's skirt and the relatively thin armor of its armpit joint, the area above the tracks and beneath the deck on which the turret sits, just where the mystery round hit the tank.

An RPG-7 can penetrate about 12 inches of steel [traverse une épaisseur de trente centimètres d'acier ] a thickness far greater than the armor that was penetrated on the tank in Baghdad. But the limited spalling evident in the photos accompanying the incident report all but rules out the RPG-7 as the culprit, experts say.

Limited spalling is a telltale characteristic of Western-manufactured weapons designed to defeat armor with a cohesive jet stream of molten metal. In contrast, RPG-7s typically produce a fragmented jet spray.

The incident is so sensitive that most experts in the field would talk only on the condition that they not be identified.

One armor expert at Fort Knox, Ky., suggested the tank may have been hit by an updated RPG. About 15 years ago, Russian scientists created tandem-warhead anti-tank-grenades designed to defeat reactive armor. The new round, a PG-7VR, can be fired from an RPG-7V launcher and might have left the unusual signature on the tank.

In addition, the Russians have developed an improved weapon, the RPG-22. These and perhaps even newer variants have been used against American forces in Afghanistan. It is believed U.S. troops seized some that have been returned to the United States for testing, but scant details about their effects and "fingerprints" are available.

Still another possibility is a retrofitted warhead for the RPG system being developed by a Swiss manufacturer.

At this time, it appears most likely that an RPG-22 or some other improved variant of the Russian-designed weapon damaged the M1 tank, sources concluded. The damage certainly was caused by some sort of shaped-charge or hollow-charge warhead, and the cohesive nature of the destructive jet suggests a more effective weapon than a fragmented-jet RPG-7.

A spokesman for General Dynamics Land Systems, which manufactures the Abrams, said company engineers agree some type of RPG probably caused the damage. After checking with them, the spokesman delivered the manufacturer's verdict: The tank was hit by "a `golden' RPG" an extremely lucky shot.

In the end, a civilian weapons expert said, "I hope it was a lucky shot and we are not part of someone's test program. Being a live target is no fun."

Jews Stealing Babylon Relics: Iraqi Paper

Archaeological antiquities dating back to the period of what is historically known as "Babylonian Captivity" or "Babylonian Exile" are currently facing a systematic plundering by Jews, said the Iraqi Al-Mustaqilla (Independent) newspaper Thursday, October30 . Quoting what it described as "reliable sources", the paper asserted that dozens of large trucks have been seen carrying away relics from Babylon, some 85 kilometers to the southwest of Baghdad.

It added that the artifacts date back to the time of King Nebuchadnezzar, who sent his armies to occupy Palestine thousands of years ago and took thousands of Jews as prisoners, in what became known as the Babylonian Captivity.

"Those who are carrying out the plundering operation are our 'Jewish guests', the new guests of the (U.S.-British) occupation," according to the paper.

[...] Babylon was revamped by ousted President Saddam Hussein, who transformed it into a modern tourist haven, a step that forced UNESCO to remove it from its list of ancient archaeological sites.

According to Al-Mustaqilla, Jews also encouraged mobs to ransack and steal the antiques of Biblical Prophet Ozeir, whose grave is situated at the town named after him, some 420 kilometers to the southeast of Baghdad, said the paper.

Dozens of Jewish families of Iraqi origin, who immigrated to Israel in the late1940 s and early1950 s, have reportedly returned to Iraq after its occupation and started buying villas in Baghdad at prices higher than its market value.

Al-Mustaqilla charged that Babylonian relics theft is being carried out under the watchful eyes of the American occupation forces, based at the town of Hilla, some 15 kilometers to the west of Babylon.

Thousands of famous archaeological Mesopotamian finds and relics, dating back to ancient Iraq, were stolen or ransacked from Iraqi museums few days after the fall of Baghdad on April9 .

Bush Says He'll Raise Troop Level in Iraq if Needed

President Bush said on Thursday he could increase the number of U.S. troops in Iraq, a statement that contrasts with Pentagon plans to reduce deployment ahead of the 2004 U.S. presidential election.

Speaking at a news conference with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Bush promised to "finish the job we have begun" in Iraq and both men vowed that the twin blasts that killed at least 25 people in Istanbul would not deter them.

"We could have less troops in Iraq. We could have the same number of troops in Iraq. We could have more troops in Iraq -- (whatever is) necessary to secure Iraq," Bush said.

Bush said he would rely on his commanders on the ground to determine how many troops are needed in Iraq, where guerrilla attacks on U.S. forces and international targets have become increasingly sophisticated and deadly since U.S. forces ousted Saddam Hussein in April.

In a joint statement, Bush and Blair vowed to keep troops in Iraq until the Iraqis are ready to take responsibility for their own security and said they hoped "international partners" would increasingly take part in the effort.

However, Washington has had limited success in persuading other nations to send forces to Iraq and U.S. officials are aware that mounting casualties could be a political liability for Bush as he approaches his re-election battle next year.

However, White House officials deny the Bush administration is letting the U.S. political calendar dictate their strategy.

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said earlier this month 43,000 U.S. Reserve and National Guard troops and nearly 70,000 regular Marine and Army soldiers were being notified for duty in an Iraq rotation plan that would reduce U.S. forces there to 105,000 by mid-2004 from about 132,000.

Bush has repeatedly said he will do whatever it takes to restore security in Iraq and to help the country, currently administered by a U.S. official, return to self-government.

"Our mission in Iraq is noble and it is necessary. No act of thugs or killers will change our resolve or alter their fate," Bush said. "We will finish the job we have begun."

Coming on the eve of a federation-sponsored trip to Ethiopia, federation leaders, advocates for Ethiopian Jews, representatives of Jewish humanitarian groups and Israeli government officials met recently in Jerusalem to discuss new ways of expediting the emigration process for thousands of Falash Mura left in Ethiopia.

The Falash Mura are Ethiopians whose Jewish ancestors converted to Christianity, often under social pressure, but who have resumed practicing Judaism and whose Jewishness is accepted by all three major Jewish religious denominations, including Israel's chief rabbinate.

Critics of deals to bring the Falash Mura to Israel charge that many of those left in Ethiopia are claiming Jewish ancestry merely to escape the famine and hardship of Africa.

In a landmark decision last February, Israel's Cabinet voted to immediately verify the Jewish ancestry of some 19,000 Falash Mura so they could be brought to Israel. Since 1998, Israel has absorbed about 2,500 Falash Mura immigrants per year. [Les jeunes gens, aussitôt incorporés, font d'excelents soldats... ]

In the months since the Cabinet decision, however, little action has been taken and the verification process has stalled, prompting advocates for Ethiopian Jewry to blame Israel's interior minister, Avraham Poraz, for foot-dragging.

Poraz, who is responsible for implementing the Cabinet decision, declined to comment for this story.

At the heart of the debate is the exact number of Falash Mura left in Ethiopia, and the cost to Israel of absorbing the immigrants.

Participants said the closed-door meeting in Jerusalem on Oct. 23 was the first time an agreement was proposed with the potential to satisfy both skeptical Israeli officials like Poraz who fear that bringing the Falash Mura to Israel will open the floodgates to an unknown number of Ethiopian immigrants with dubious claims to Jewish ancestry and Jewish activists seeking to rescue Ethiopian Jews from famine and bring them to the Jewish homeland.

"At the meeting, a proposal was brought to the table that reasonable people believe should satisfy all reasonable objections to the issue," said one participant, who asked not to be identified.

That view was confirmed by other participants of the meeting, most of whom refused to comment publicly about the discussions.

The preliminary proposal raised at the meeting would involve expediting the Falash Mura emigration while guaranteeing that no more than those already accounted for are allowed to come to Israel under this process. U.S. Jewish groups would help bankroll the Falash Mura's absorption in Israel, and the Jewish humanitarian groups working in Ethiopia would shut down operations there.

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, one of only two Jewish groups running relief operations in Ethiopia, said it would welcome such a deal.

"We would be happy to close down if the Falash Mura issue were resolved," said Amir Shaviv, the JDC's assistant executive vice president. "We're there to maintain medical services. If these people were to go to Israel, we wouldn't need to be there anymore."

The exact details of the proposed agreement have yet to be worked out, and it remains to be seen how quickly a deal could be implemented or whether, in fact, there exists sufficient political will to see a deal through.

Until a deal is worked out to enforce the Cabinet decision, Ethiopia advocates say, the risks of death and disease for the thousands remaining in Ethiopia are growing.

"The Falash Mura have always lived in the most deplorable of conditions, and now there is famine and a malaria epidemic, which is probably the most virulent in history," said Ricki Lieberman, chief operating officer and director of public affairs at the North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry, or NACOEJ. "I hope that all of these factors are coming together to make the Israeli government understand that it must act effectively and quickly, and that the American Jewish community must help NACOEJ feed and help this community stay alive until they can get to Israel." NACOEJ helps run relief compounds for the Falash Mura in the cities of Addis Ababa and Gondar. The group provides food and Jewish education at the compounds, and the JDC provides medical care and nutritional support for children. The groups do not provide the Falash Mura most of whom came to the cities from remote villages in hopes of emigrating to Israel with housing.

In Israel, advocates for the Ethiopians are pursuing legal action to force Poraz to accelerate the emigration process.

But the prospect raised at the recent meeting of an agreement between Poraz, Jewish humanitarian groups working in Ethiopia and U.S. federation leaders could render such a move superfluous.

Those at the Oct. 23 meeting included Poraz; the president of the United Jewish Communities federation umbrella group, Stephen Hoffman; the chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel, Sallai Meridor, and the group's treasurer, Shai Hermesh; NACOEJ officials; representatives of the New York and Philadelphia Jewish federations; JDC representatives, and others.

Participants said the meeting was convened at the request of Hoffman, who is facing pressure from Jewish federations to push Israeli officials on the issue.

Hoffman declined to comment for this story.

"The federation world is trying to push UJC to advocate on behalf of the Falash Mura," said Sheryl Fox Adler, director of Israel and other international concerns at the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston. "When the famine really started to take hold in Ethiopia, many in our community became concerned," she said. Some U.S. federation leaders are planning to visit Ethiopia on a fact-finding mission next week.

Observers said the heightened interest by American Jewish federation leaders on the Falash Mura is helping propel action by the Israeli government and, specifically, by Poraz. "Now he's not facing a fringe group like NACOEJ but the weight of the American Jewish community," said one participant in the Oct. 23 meeting. "That's a sea change. That was not the case before this meeting."

Earlier this year, several U.S. congressmen admonished Poraz on the issue, including Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.).

When 4,000 Falash Mura were brought to Israel in 1998, many officials thought they constituted the last group of Jewish immigrants from Ethiopia, said Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and a board member of the Jewish Agency and the JDC. Eckstein attended the Oct. 23 meeting.

But then another 14,000 people turned up at the compounds in Addis Ababa and Gondar, and the Jewish relief operations in Ethiopia continued.

In 1999, government surveyors counted 26,000 people served by the compounds, but a few thousand have since emigrated to Israel.

Estimates of the number of Falash Mura left in Ethiopia range from 15,000 to 24,000, with about 19,000 at the compounds.

February's Cabinet decision followed rulings by leading Israeli rabbis that the Falash Mura indeed are Jewish. That move enabled Israel to impose a requirement on the would-be immigrants to prove maternal linkage to Jewish ancestry; hence the need to verify their claims of Jewishness.

The Finance Ministry estimates that it costs $100,000 to absorb each Ethiopian immigrant, meaning that it would cost more than $2 billion to absorb all the Falash Mura currently at the compounds in Ethiopia.

Shlomo Molla, a Jewish Agency consultant on Ethiopian immigration, says the estimated costs are highly inflated. Others say the figure is closer to $25,000 per immigrant.

In any case, advocates say, the cost would be borne over many years, U.S. Jewish groups would offer assistance and Israel has enough money even with its current recession to absorb the immigrants.

"It's not a question of money," Eckstein said. "If these people are brought, the government certainly is going to look to groups like the UJC and the worldwide Jewish community for assistance."

Irwin Cotler, a member of Canada's Parliament and a long-time legal adviser to Ethiopian Jews who was at the Oct. 23 meeting, said the question at stake is, "Will it happen through an agreement now to bring them with all deliberate speed, or only after another series of court cases, and more people die, and more kids are undernourished. That is the moral choice before us."

Enough 9/11 evidence exists to hang Bush, imprison thousands.

On September 11, 2001, the most infamous day in American history, the tallest buildings in New York were not knocked down by airplanes hijacked by Arabs -- they were destroyed by demolition charges.

This is no longer wild conspiracy theory -- it is a series of provable facts, deftly presented on a website that every American should not only read but possibly memorize, so they can repeat it verbatim to every law enforcement officer in the country. The site outlines a terrifying proposition: If the collapse of the Twin Towers were caused by demolition the entire official story about that sad day collapses like the house of evil cards so many Americans and people around the world already suspect it is.

The site, <http://wtc7.net>, backs up its conclusions with a devastating play-by-play of what actually happened on 9/11, and what could not possibly have happened according to universally accepted engineering principles.

The official story collapses under scrutiny, the site insists. It lists five stunning assertions:

1. Fires have never destroyed steel buildings.

2. The collapses were not investigated.

3. The physical evidence was destroyed.

4. The official explanations are ludicrous.

5. The evidence indicates demolition.

6. Demolition is provable.

No steel high-rise building has ever collapsed due to fire, the site insists. And on 9/11, three of them collapsed in a matter of hours at the World Trade Center complex.

The total collapses of the Twin Towers and Building 7 were (based on the official story) the three largest engineering failures in the history of the world, yet no federal investigation was ever funded.

The evidence of the collapses was quickly destroyed. A series of explanations was promoted to explain the collapses, but each is ridiculed and debunked on the site, including killer fires, column failure, and truss failure. The site's conclusion: official explanations cannot explain any kind of total collapse.

Other curious phenomena examined were that the fires burned for 100 days, that the concrete was curiously pulverized in mid-air, and that the buildings fell so quickly despite following the path of most resistance, among other suspicious aspects.

After presenting its evidence, the site concludes the towers were deliberately demolished. Which means the disaster could not possibly have been the work of Osama bin Laden.

The implications of the story on this site are enormous. They mean that the official story told by George W. Bush's American government is a total fabrication. There is no evidence against Osama bin Laden if the buildings were demolished. It has all been a lie.

What this means is that George W. Bush is guilty of complicity in the most heinous crime in American history, the willful murder of more than 3,000 people and the destruction of a significant part of America's biggest city. And of course treason. There is no space to delineate here all the other charges of mass murder and obstruction of justice against this vain little demagogue who stole the U.S. presidency and now is raping the world.

Also guilty are Vice President Cheney and the entire Cabinet, the chiefs of staff of the armed forces, and many other members of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the government, plus many other federal and military employees, plus many state and federal regulatory officials and private citizens who were either friends of the Bush conspiracy or conspired in its coverup.

And perhaps the biggest problem is that also guilty of complicity in this tangled mess is the federal Justice Department, whose leader John Ashcroft was appointed by the principal defendant in this case.

America and the world have never faced such a colossal crisis, and that is no overstatement.

The entire American government is now a criminal defendant in the mass murder of its own citizens at the very moment the entire world is cringing in fear at America's new policy of preemptive war that threatens every sovereign nation on the planet.

It's true, my friends, although it's something you already knew -- outlaws rule the world, and they own the cops, the army and the courts, not to mention all the legislatures.

How can America and the world possibly deal with this?

Well, for starters, the state of New York must assume the lead role, because all federal agencies, including the FBI, CIA and FEMA, are now all possible defendants in what will be the most amazing trial in history. Of course, state officials are as likely to be corrupted as federal officials, but this still seems to be the logical solution, at least to begin with.

What is at stake here, among so many other items, is the relationship of the states to the federal government. To say this is a profound Constitutional crisis is a severe understatement.

And the larger question becomes, can the people ever trust its government again. The quick answer, at least, is ... not this government -- ever again.

But first, everyone must get the word out. Every American, or as many possible who aren't immediately felled by terminal apoplexy as they confront this material, should read the sequence of events as presented on this site.

Then, responsible people in many professions should confer as to the best way to deal with prosecutions on these charges, including how to suspend the functional legal legitimacy of the Bush adminstration, especially since this group seems intent on blowing up the world. Then it will have to be one step at a time with some sort of calmly constructed provisional government, with the current Congress most likely having absolutely no role in its creation.

This is a great and necessary opportunity for the individual states to regain some of the power that has been usurped by Washington when they create a new federal government without any help from the old one.

OK. I know this is all mind-boggling. Unfortunately for all of us, it happens to be reality. Shake off your stunned silence and incredulity. We have to deal with it, and we have to deal with it now.

Proper articulation of the offenses, machinery to effect remedies and prosecutions -- and doing both of things in the proper venues -- are of critical importance at this moment. Not being a lawyer, I don't know what they are. Somebody knows. That person or persons needs to speak, and soon.

Because if Bush knows his crimes are exposed and he is allowed to remain in power, God knows what will happen.

I know you've taken in a crushing amount of information just now, but I would beg you to try and digest a little bit more, this time from the mind of Kent State professor Walter Davis, who has articulated in a very coherent way the argument against George W. Bush continuing as the commander of the most deadly arsenal ever seen on this planet.

On serait bien avisé de lancer une enquête sur les disparitions entourant le 11 septembre. Le site

Considérons la première affaire de la liste, survenant le 8 ou le 9 septembre: l'assassinat du commandant Massoud dans le Nord de l'Afghanistan. On retient généralement l'idée que Massoud faisait la guerre aux taliban, et que les taliban, alliés a Al-Qaida, auraient décidé de l'assassiner dans le cadre de leur vaste offensive anti-démocratique. Mais un article de CNN apporte du nouveau ("How much did Afghan leader know ?")

On y apprend qu'un cable du DIA datant de Novembre 2001 traitant de son assassinat a été déclassifié. Certes l'hypothèse est que les tueurs appartenaient à Al-Qaida. Le site <globalfreepress> émet l'hypothèse que Massoud a été assassiné par les services secrets pakistanais (ISI). Rappelons que le paradoxe du Pakistan est qu'il était l'allié à la fois des Etats-Unis et du mollah Omar.

Massoud critiquait donc souvent l'aide que les Américains apportaient aux taliban via le Pakistan. Il avait beau les alerter contre de possibles attaques par des terroristes dirigés par le dénommé Ben Laden, ceux-ci n'y prêtaient pas attention. Les journalistes américains ne daignaient pas non plus l'interviewer. Et sans doute n'était-ce pas seulement parce qu'il ne parlait pas l'angliche, mais parce qu'il ne montrait pas patte blanche aux grands industriels qui financent la plupart des média.

On peut donc avancer une autre hypothèse plus complète sur la disparition d'Ahmad Shah "le chanceux" (massoud). La piste qu'avait commencé à suivre Xymphora, le Octobre 14, 2002, par un simple examen de la chronologie et des circonstances du meurtre, mérite d'être prise en compte:

Nous ne saurions dire, en l'état actuel qui des services américains ou pakistanais ont pu fournir les hommes ou le matériel relativement sophistiqué pour l'assassiner, ou à qui les services pakistanais ont fourni leur aide: Américains ou taliban. Mais une chose est pratiquement sûre, invoquer Al-Qaida pour tout et n'importe quoi permet aux Américains de faire oublier la facon dont ils ont lutté pour placer leurs marionnettes à la tête de l'Afghanistan. Xymphora notait cette coïncidence: un autre dirigeant afghan avait été assassiné après le 11 Septembre, après avoir contacté l'américain Robert 'Bud' McFarlane !

"Perhaps the single most insightful article I've read on the politics of the situation in Afghanistan was published by the Washington Post in November 2001. It is mainly about the extraordinary trip of Abdul Haq across Afghanistan by horse, practically unarmed, to get to Kabul and perhaps negotiate to become leader of the country. The trip ended in the capture, torture, and death of Haq. It has largely been forgotten in the ensuing Afghan war, but is one of the two incidents that are the most important for understanding what is really going on (the other important domestic Afghan incident was the assassination of Massood, the two Afghan assassinations which nicely bookend September 11). Haq was sponsored by the Ritchie brothers, Chicago commodity traders who grew up in Afghanistan and have a special, and suspicious, interest in it (and possible CIA connections). When Haq got into trouble he used his satellite phone to call Robert 'Bud' McFarlane (YES! -- of Iran-Contra fame, pardoned by Bush's father, and exactly the kind of guy who would be up to his neck in the Iran-Contra style of intelligence-political intrigue -- you just can't make this stuff up!), who arranged for a CIA rescue operation. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the CIA arrived just too late to save him (you know you're really in trouble if the guy who you have to phone to be rescued is Robert McFarlane!). It is indeed quite possible that the CIA tipped the ISI off as to Haq's whereabouts, and the ISI then told the Taliban. Haq, who after the equally convenient assassination of Massood was the most plausible man to lead the country, was now out of the picture, and a stooge less likely to be independent could be installed as leader."

Ce message s'adresse à ceux qui estiment qu'il n'y a rien de plus beau pour le sort futur de l'humanité que de révéler toute horrible vérité. Il mérite certainement d'être diffusé auprès de ceux envers qui vous avez la plus entière confiance pour leur esprit d'ouverture.

 

Car il faut du temps avant d'arriver à une vision précise de la réalité. Et il en faut encore plus pour comprendre le 11 septembre 2001. La Maison Blanche, la Défense aérienne américaine (NORAD), et les autorités de New York refusent sous divers prétextes de divulguer des informations complètes à la commission fédérale qui enquête dessus en trainant des pieds (voir les derniers articles du New York Times ou <http://9-11commission.gov/>). Ce que l'on peut apprendre encore est que la compagnie aérienne American Airlines a beaucoup de choses à cacher.

Il apparait, dans les statistiques du bureau des Transports ("Airline on-time statistics" of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics), que les vols AA 0011 (supposé parti de Boston et écrasé dans la tour Nord du World Trade Center) et AA 0077 (supposé parti de Washington Dulles et écrasé sur le Pentagone) n'étaient pas censés décoller ce jour du 11 septembre, bien qu'ils aient été régulièrement programmés les jours précédents. Les vols UA 93 (supposé écrasé en Pennsylvannie) et UA 175 (supposé écrasé dans la seconde tour), quant à eux, étaient bien programmés ce jour-là, et il est indiqué qu'ils ont été détournés. Je vous invite à vérifier ces étrangetés en suivant ce qu'a fait Gerard Holmgren sur le site <http://www.bts.gov/ntda/oai/index.shtml>. Je l'ai fait plusieurs fois pour différents vols et cela m'a rendu plus sceptique que de coutume.

Gerard suppose alors que ce jour-là, les passagers du vol AA 0011 ont pu embarquer dans le vol UA 0175 (écrasé dans la tour Sud) qui était programmé pour partir du même aéroport (Boston Logan) 15 minutes plus tard, et partit en effet 13 minutes plus tard à 7h58 (voir les "actual departure time" sur le site <bts.gov>). Si cela est vrai, il faudrait trouver la trace de ce changement de vol et de compagnie. Mais le comportement passé de ces complagnies aériennes compromet sans doute la chose, comme nous le verrons plus bas.

Les avions volant habituellement sous les numéros 11 et 77 ont-ils décollé alors qu'ils étaient interdits aux passagers ? On ne le sait pas encore. Il se peut qu'American Airlines les ait laissés au sol et les ait utilisé les jours suivants sous un autre numéro. Mais peut-être que des militaires les ont réquisitionnés. Qu'ont-ils donc pu faire avec ? Les ont-ils déplacés dans quelque base militaire pour les templacer par des missiles ou des Global Hawk téléguidés ? Les deux hypothèses ont quelque plausibilité à la fois pour ce qui s'est passé au Pentagone et dans la tour Nord. On se souvient que l'engin ayant frappé la première tour est assez flou et que Flore Mongin avait confié à Libération l'avoir vu zigzaguer avant de frapper la tour. Mais il se peut aussi que les avions aient été chargés de bombes à charge orientée. Cela expliquerait aussi pourquoi le Pentagone a été percé sur trois de ses anneaux, soit six murs, comme cela était reporté dans le New York Times dès le 12 septembre 2001, et pourquoi un flash blanc apparait de dessous l'avion juste avant l'explosion dans la première tour (pour des références, des images et des discussions sur ce flash, voir

Une question se pose maintenant: qu'est-il advenu des passagers du vol AA 77, s'il n'était pas accessible? Ont-ils été embarqués sur un autre vol, par exemple les vols AA 0599 ou UA 205 qui partaient également vers le Sud (Dallas et San José) et semblent avoir repris du service un peu plus tard que les autres avions selon les mêmes statistiques? Cet avion de remplacement s'est-il écrasé en Pennsylvanie, ou a-t-il erré au-dessus du Colorado comme certaines nouvelles le rapportaient (lire <xymphora.blogspot.com>, October 15, 2001)? On ne le saura sans doute que par des archives militaires puisque le transpondeur de cet avion a pu être coupé pour devenir invisible aux tours de contrôle civiles. Nous avons donc un nouveau mystère à résoudre.

Holmgren pense qu'American Airlines a été complice de quelque chose. Et on peut constater qu'elle ne s'est pas montrée transparente puisqu'elle sont restées un certain temps silencieuses : le 11 septembre au soir, les compagnies aériennes refusaient de dévoiler la liste des passagers, après avoir recu des instructions d'"autorités fédérales" (NYT, 12/09/2001, p.A16).

LES MYSTÈRES DE L'ASSASSINAT D'ITZAK RABIN

Beaucoup d'observateurs ont manifesté un scepticisme poli devant la version officielle de l'assassinat du premier ministre en exercice en Israël. Récemment, la justice a blanchi le provocateur professionnel employé par les services secrets et qui manipulait l'assassin présumé. Ce que l'on n'a jamais trop avoué dans la presse, c'est que la famille de Rabin est aussi assaillie de doutes, ainsi qu'en témoigne cette interviewx donnée à un magazine féminin en hébreu par la fille de Rabin, députée à la Knesset:

Rabin-Pelosoff: [...] Each of, all of us together, are consumed by doubts regarding how it happened and what happened. This is the most difficult. The most difficult.

Yishai-Levi: What doubts?

Rabin-Pelosoff: This is very complex, and I am not certain that I want to get into this. I don't want to make accusations, as long as I do not have solid proof. I don't want to get involved in slander trials. But we all have the feeling that the entire episode was finished with the conclusion that the assassination was a fiasco. This is too simplistic. There are very many question marks regarding the night of the murder.

Yishai-Levi: Question marks regarding the conduct of the G.S.S. [General Security Services]?

Rabin-Pelosoff: I am not saying, and I am not pointing an accusing finger in any direction, but many unanswered question marks remain.

Yishai-Levi: Such as?

Rabin-Pelosoff: Well, someone shouted, 'This is a blank', and there is no answer, who shouted. And the Shamgar Commission did not determine who was the person who shouted that this was a blank cartridge.

Yishai-Levi: Where does this confidence that someone shouted, 'This is a blank' come from? Perhaps this is a rumor?

Rabin-Pelosoff: My mother [Mrs. Leah Rabin] heard positively. She rang me at home immediately after this happened and she told me. "They shot [at] Father, but this is not real". I will never forget the telephone conversation with her. Mother felt that nothing had happened, that this was not real, that everything was all right, that Father was all right.

Yishai-Levi: Perhaps she expressed her wish?

Rabin-Pelosoff: Perhaps. But there were other people in addition who heard. When the security people drove her in a different automobile to the hospital, they told her that this was not real. And when she asked questions, they were silent and did not answer a single question of hers.

There are very many question marks around everything that happened immediately after the assassination. How was it that in the automobile that drove Mother, the security people did not speak with anyone the entire way? Why didn't they let Mother drive with Father? Why did they separate them and take her in a separate automobile?

I am throwing out to you question marks that trouble me every day. Why did they take Mother from the place of the assassination? Why did they want to hustle her away from the scene of the event as fast as possible? Why did they tell her that this was an exercise? What exercise? And what happened to the so-essential instincts of every security person? Why didn't they immediately kill the assassin? How did it happen that they did not shoot him?

Look what happened now with Mubarak -- how was it that the people who were entrusted with guarding my father did not instinctively shoot the one who shot him, [and] kill him?

I am saying that this is certainly similar to what the members of the Kennedy family felt after John Kennedy was assassinated. To this day there is no explanation for the question -- who was behind the assassination of Kennedy? To this day there is no explanation for who was behind the assassination of my father. Then, they accused Oswald, who was immediately murdered. By us, they accuse Yigal Amir. But this is not so simple. This is much deeper, and much more complex.

Yishai-Levi: And whom do you suspect?

Rabin-Pelosoff: Whom I suspect, I won't say. I simply am raising before you all these doubts that have been harbored in my mind and in those of the family since the assassination. Sometimes I go so far as to have the harshest thoughts. I know that we in the family will find no rest until we will know the truth.

Yishai-Levi: And this harbors in your mind all the time? You are occupied with suspicions, with doubts?

Rabin-Pelosoff: This comes in waves. There was a period when Channel Two, with the reporter Matti Cohen, prepared a serious investigative report. They sat with me and told me about their findings, and this greatly aroused me. Unfortunately, they have done nothing with this investigative reporting until now.

And when I hear that a person like Avigdor Eskin, whom I have been closely following ever since the assassination, was run by the G.S.S. (General Security Services), this arouses in me thoughts and wondering, and things arise. Such things arouse the doubt in me again and again.

I am exposed to this all the time. Not long ago in the Knesset I met a person who brought me a suitcase packed with documents full of doubts and question marks. This person has been engaged in the investigation of the assassination since it happened. And every time, from anew, I reach the conclusion that perhaps there is no chance of reaching the truth, and I leave this alone. And then, through someone else who is no less troubled by this than the members of the family, this is awakened from anew. This bothers me greatly.

One of my ways of handling this was to go and work in the Histadrut, to go to the Knesset, to involve myself in public work. But this still does not help. The doubt harbors in the mind. Question marks arise all the time. Such as, for example, the inconsistency between the report of the doctor who received Father when he arrived at Ichilov [Hospital] and the pathology report. This does not let me alone. The feeling of frustration is very, very difficult.

Fear of terrorism is fuelling a campaign of hate against Arabs in the US. Columbia University professor Hamid Dabashi describes his personal experience:

Zayed center officially closed

 

The United Arab Emirates UAE announced officially yesterday the closure of the Arab League associated center named "Sheikh Zayed center for co-ordination and follow up " which takes Abu Dhabi as a headquarters "for reasons of taking part in a dialogue that clearly contradicts the principles of tolerance among religions," according to a statement issued by the office of the UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan. The statement added that when Sheikh Zayed know that " a dialogue as a such" in the center took place, "instructions were issued to close the center immediately," adding that Sheikh Zayed continues to support the policy of open dialogue and cultural exchange.

The UAE has been financing the activities of the center since its foundation in 1999. UAE officials announced recently that the UAE intends to close the center because of American accusations addressed to it on hosting writers and politicians who made "anti-Semitic" statements. It was evident that the center which used to organize weekly lectures and meetings stopped its activities since the end of July.

On April 15, an official in the center said that, the latter has been exposed to a "campaign for Middle East research institute and the Jewish institutions in the world, because of hosting figures they consider as anti Semitic." The official stressed that the center received for example a message from the said research institute "criticizing the center's hosting, especially Dr. Omeima al-Jalaheima, professor of the Islamic studies at King Faisal University in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)."

She ( al- Jalaheima) delivered a lecture on April 9th on "the status of the Jewish woman in Israel." The official added that she was exposed to criticism over an article she had published in a Saudi daily and was accused of anti Semitism.

La profanation des vagins: la destruction de "L'Origine du monde"

Cachez ce vagin que je ne saurais voir...

Le célèbre tableau de Gustave Courbet est lacéré tous les jours par diverses soldatesques africaines. Le Continent noir est devenu "Un enfer pour les femmes" (1) et pour les enfants. En effet, les crimes sexuels de masse en série et les viols collectifs à répétition sont considérés comme de redoutables armes de destruction massive dans les innombrables guerres sales qui ravagent l'Afrique. Et le Vagin élevé au rang de cible militaire stratégique, qu'il faut absolument atteindre, souiller, détruire et profaner. La destruction de "L'Origine du monde" à la kalachnikov ou à la machette est le seul impératif des seigneurs de la guerre.

Aussi, il est plus qu'urgent que l'on cesse de répéter cette horrible rengaine qui veut que dans toutes les guerres depuis la nuit des temps, il y ait toujours eu des viols collectifs commis par des soudards errants et désoeuvrés. De même, qu'on cesse d'insister jusqu'à la nausée, sur le fait que depuis l'Antiquité (Rome, Athènes...) que dans toutes les armées du monde, l'utilisation des enfants-soldats est une constante universelle et un invariant de tous les conflits.

Jamais, la banalisation de la violence sur les femmes n'a atteint de tels sommets de barbarie. Jamais, on n'a atteint l'horreur absolue avec des moyens de destruction de la vie aussi rustiques. Jamais, ces pratiques "militaires" monstrueuses n'ont atteint des proportions inédites comme dans les guerres africaines de rapines. Jamais, les viols collectifs des femmes par des enfants-soldats armés de leur seul pénis, de leur kalachnikov et autres armes légères n'ont atteint des sommets inégalés. En effet, les crimes sexuels sont aussi massifs que répétitifs. Phénomène que seul, du reste, autorise d'une part, l'utilisation systématique d'enfants-soldats transformés en assassins de la vie, en fossoyeurs de "l'origine du monde". Bref, en profanateurs de vagins.

Et la libre circulation des milliers d'armes légères et des mines anti-personnelles, lesquels sont devenus les seuls jouets des 120.000 enfants-soldats africains. De même, la guerre est leur principal sport. Le viol collectif à grande échelle est leur "jeu" préféré et le crime sexuel de masse est leur seul plaisir. La kalachnikov est leur organe de jouissance: leur pénis meurtrier et cannibale.

C'est dire qu'il n'y a pas d'armes légères.

La machette (arme blanche) a déjà montré son efficacité comme arme de destruction massive, voire d'extermination lors du génocide au Rwanda (800.000 morts en 90 jours). Elle a aussi fait la preuve de son efficacité destructrice associée à la kalachnikov en Sierra Leone, au Libéria et dans l'Ituri en République démocratique du Congo. Dans ce dernier pays, 2.400 êtres humains meurent tous les jours massacrés avec des armes dites conventionnelles. Selon les ONG "Amnesty International", "OXFAM" et "Handicap International", 639 millions d'armes dites légères circulent dans le monde et tuent 500.000 personnes par an.

En Afrique, la kalachnikov est devenue une prothèse sexuelle meurtrière et le pénis, une arme de guerre. La profanation des vagins, la destruction de "l'Origine du monde", "de l'endroit d'où l'on vient" tous, toute l'Humanité est un nouveau rite initiatique criminel.

Plus de la moitié des quatre millions et demi de Palestiniens vivent en exil. Mais dans les frontières historiques de la Palestine (Israël et territoires occupés), le rapport démographique entre les communautés juives et arabes a commence à s'inverser. Les juifs israéliens sont aujourd'hui au nombre de trois millions quatre cent mille et les Palestiniens quelque deux millions. Dans une ou deux générations, ces derniers pourraient devenir à nouveau majoritaires. Une situation que les dirigeants sionistes, lors de la création de l'Etat juif en 1948, avaient tenté d'éviter à tout prix comme le montrent les archives israéliennes de l'époque.

Toronto Globe and Mail Kills Review of "The Politics of Anti-Semitism"

 

Hello, CounterPunch,

I was asked to write a review of two recent books on anti-Semitism for Toronto's Globe and Mail newspaper. The two books are "The Politics of Anti-Semitism" and Phyllis Chesler's "The New Anti-Semitism." I filed the review a week ago, and was sent an email earlier this week from the editor, who expressed "real problems" with the review. The "real problems" seem to stem from the fact that I didn't slam "The Politics" (and its "out of the same litter contributors") but instead praised it while ridiculing (justifiably, I believe) the Chesler book. I have written many reviews for the Globe, as well as for the Toronto Star and other publications. (My day job is writing plays.) They have never spiked a review of mine before. I should add that I approached the Globe with the idea of reviewing "The Politics" (before I'd read it), and that they agreed, but only if I would also consider the Chesler book.

I wonder if you'd be interested in looking at the review, as well as the correspondence relating to it.

Depuis le début de l'année 2001, un Israélien d'origine russe, Israel Shamir est devenu, sur l'Internet, le héros de militants pro-palestiniens et des "antisionistes" en général. Il distille une critique radicale d'Israël, appelant à la disparition de cet Etat et multipliant les charges contre les Juifs et le Judaïsme. Systématiquement présenté comme un auteur majeur, collaborateur de tout ce qui se compte de meilleurs organes de presse en Israël, Shamir est brandi ("Juif israélien"), et ses nombreux textes reproduits, sur quasiment tous les sites web hostiles à Israël. Son succès est particulièrement éclatant sur les sites antisémites et négationnistes. Pour autant, ses thuriféraires "seulement" antisionistes récusent toute idée selon laquelle Shamir puisse être un antisémite; pensez donc: un Juif! Israélien de surcroît! Le succès de Shamir sur les sites antisémites ne semble ni les gêner, ni les interpeler.

Seulement voilà, des Juifs antisémites, cela existe. Des Israéliens également. Certes ils ne courent pas les rues, mais la judéité n'a jamais protégé de l'antisémitisme (cf. Otto Weininger) ni un passeport de l'hystérie contre son propre pays, quoique, en l'occurrence, l'appel à la disparition pure et simple du pays honni est plutôt rare. Pour autant faut-il accabler Shamir d'une accusation infâmante pour le seul fait qu'il produit une critique radicale d'Israël? Certainement pas.

Mais, de fait, Israel Shamir est un antisémite. Il est un antisémite hystérique, non parce qu'il critique Israël, mais parce qu'il reprend quasi intégralement tous les poncifs de l'antisémitisme, avec une virulence proportionnelle à son talent. Sous sa plume, les Juifs deviennent les responsables d'un des attentats terroristes anti-israélien les plus meurtriers de ces dernières années [3]. Le reste est à l'avenant: complaisance de plus en plus marquée envers les négationnistes [4]; adhésion à la théorie du complot de domination juive mondiale véhiculée par les Protocoles des Sages de Sion [5], diffamations issues de l'antisémitisme chrétien tels que le recyclage du fantasme des crimes rituels [6], l'accusation de déicide (les Juifs en assassins du Christ [7]); insultes de rabbins [8]; accusation globale contre "les Juifs" d'être responsables de la Seconde Guerre mondiale [9], toute la panoplie y passe. Shamir va même, à l'occasion des élections présidentielles en France de 2002, appeler à voter Le Pen, dont il explique le succès par le fait que "le peuple de France ne [veut] pas goûter une occupation judéo-nazie" [10]. La dérive nazie, pourtant, c'est bien Shamir qui la commet lorsqu'il déclare que "les Israéliens représentent une forme virale d'êtres humains" [11]. Les militants palestiniens qui ont mentionné cette déclaration de Shamir ont confirmé que lors d'un entretien privé, Shamir avait de nouveau usé de la comparaison des Juifs avec un virus [12]. Un scandale? Une surprise? Même pas. Shamir n'hésitera pas en effet à appeler en 2002 à s'allier avec la "National Alliance", un groupe néo-nazi américain très influent chez les racistes les plus radicaux, dont les discours sont un appel implicite au génocide des Juifs, entre autres [13]. Shamir a un temps mis son appel sur son site web officiel. Il l'en a depuis retiré. Ne doutons pas, malgré ce "retrait", de la sincérité de Shamir.

Au final, voilà, un drôle de "Juif" qui reprend à son compte les pires poncifs de la théologie chrétienne antijuive [14], qui en privé se dit chrétien [15] et s'est récemment converti au chritianisme, mais aussi drôle d'Israélien, qui ne se considère pas comme israélien, mais comme "Palestinien russe" [16]...

Israel Shamir est arrivé en Israël d'URSS à la toute fin des années 1960. Il acquiert une excellente maîtrise de l'hébreu et collabore à plusieurs journaux, notamment Ha'aretz et le Jerusalem Post [17]. Il travaille même pour le Mapam, parti politique proto-communiste [18]. Très à gauche donc. A la fin des années 1980, il publie dans le Jerusalem Post un article très critique envers les nationalistes russes proches de Soljénitsyn, qu'il qualifie de "pires ennemis du peuple juif". C'est pourtant le même Shamir, qui en 1991 publie sous le pseudonyme de "Robert David" dans une revue russe ultra-conservatrice, Politika, un article où il dénonce Shakharov comme un "agent sioniste" [19]. C'est le même Shamir qui dans la plupart de ses articles parus sur Internet évoque aujourd'hui souvent Soljénitsyn en termes élogieux, surtout quand ce dernier critique les Juifs. C'est le même Shamir qui, lorsqu'il vivait de nouveau à Moscou au début des années 1990, dénonçait les libéraux russes comme des agents sionistes et le sionisme comme pire ennemi de la Russie [20]. Il n'était point question de Palestiniens alors.

Comment le même auteur peut-il d'une part dénoncer les proches de Soljénitsyn comme "pires ennemis du peuple juif", et faire l'éloge de Soljénitsyn dix ans plus tard dans le cadre de critiques très violentes des Juifs? Le vrai Shamir semble bien être le dernier, celui qui est assez paranoïaque pour voir en Shakharov un "agent sioniste". Le vrai Shamir est celui dont la première intervention sur Internet consiste à faire la publicité d'une publication russe d'extrême-droite connue pour sa virulence antisémite, Zavtra, pour laquelle il a produit plusieurs articles [21]. Le vrai Shamir est celui dont les premiers articles publiés sur le web le sont, à la fin de l'année 2000, par un site web violemment antisémite [22] puis, début 2001 sur un site négationniste [23]. Ce Shamir-là, peut-il être, comme l'hypothèse en a été faite, un ancien agent soviétique chargé en Israël de faire de l'entrisme dans les formations de gauche et faire de l'agit-prop de l'intérieur en servant les intérêts soviétiques (disqualifier les nationalistes russes autour de Soljénitsyn comme ennemis des Juifs, par exemple)? Aujourd'hui Shamir est orphelin de l'Union Soviétique [24], mais ni de ses contacts dans les milieux antisémites russes, ni sans doute de contacts dans les milieux du renseignement: n'a-t-il pas, en 1998, proposé au négationniste britannique David Irving, de jouer un rôle d'intermédiaire pour la vente de documents nazis que des " amis " russes détenaient? Seuls d'anciens membres des renseignements soviétiques pouvaient être en possession de tels documents. Mais ce n'est pas un musée, ni une bibliothèque ou un centre d'archives que Shamir a contacté; c'est un négationniste connu pour son admiration pour Hitler... C'est d'ailleurs encore sur un site négationniste que l'on trouve le seul exemplaire de la traduction française de l'article de Shamir qui a révélé l'antisémitisme de ce dernier au public français [25]

Même si Shamir n'avait laissé aucune de ces traces, même s'il n'avait pas de lien avec l'extrême droite antisémite russe, il n'en demeurerait pas moins que sa prose est un catalogue d'ignominies antisémites. Mais parce que cette prose contient une critique radicale d'Israël, de nombreux militants "antisionistes" refusent de voir l'antisémitisme hystérique de Shamir. Cette cécité volontaire les rend complices de l'antisémitisme de Shamir. Elle est d'autant plus impardonnable, et signe d'une dérive antisémite, que des militants palestiniens irréprochables, Ali Abunimah et Hussein Ibish dénonçaient les "dérives de Shamir" dès 2001.

3. Le 1er juin 2001, Said Khutari, membre du Djihad Islamique, se fait exploser à l'entrée de la discothèque le Dolphinarium. Il assas[s]ine ainsi 20 adolescents et en blesse plus d'une centaine. Shamir, plutôt que de condamner les vrais responsables, préfère attribuer ce massacre collectif aux Juifs, dans un texte intitulé "Doute et certitude" daté du 3 juin 2003. On retrouve la rhétorique ignoble de José Bové qui faisait porter au "Mossad" la responsabilité d'agressions antisémites en France. Dans le même texte Shamir suggère que la responsabilité du pogrom de Kielce [aux] incombe "sionistes".

4. En 2001, d'après des négationnistes de l'aaargh avec lesquels il s'est entretenu "Sur la question du révisionnisme, Shamir [professait] un agnosticisme complet" (aaargh, Actualités de septembre 2001). Une telle profession d'"agnosticisme" concernant la réalité de la Shoah est évidemment une forme d'adhésion à la rhétorique négationniste. Lorsque Shamir écrit que l'"H[olocauste] est un concept religieux destiné à remplacer la Crucifixion du Christ" ("Clement on deniers", message posté le 22 mai 2002 sur la liste de discussion de Shamir, Togethernet, cité dans Actualités de Juillet 2002 de l'aaargh) Shamir ne se contente pas de tourner autour du marigot antisémite: il y patauge. Shamir se coule encore dans une rhétorique négationniste lorsqu'il écrit en août 2003 que le bilan d'Auschwitz est passé de 4 millions à trois cent mille, dans un message où il donne la parole à l'extrémiste antisémite allemand, Horst Mahler, "Mahler goes to Auschwitz". Shamir invoque le négationniste David Irving, improprement qualifié d'"historien", pour comparer le sort médiatique qui est fait à Ben Laden avec celui fait aux Juifs par Goebbels ("Gynécée et valeureux guerriers", 16 décembre 2001). Dans un texte du 14 mars 2001, "Chasseurs de vampires", Shamir, déplorant apparemment les pressions d'organisations juives américaines pour faire annuler un "congrès" négationniste à Beyrouth, prétend, en déplorant cet état de fait, que le génocide des Juifs serait un "dogme sacré", usant du même vocalulaire [sic] que les négationnistes. Il qualifie d'ailleurs ceux-ci d'"historiens révisionnistes" que "leurs adversaires qualifient de négationnistes" ("Holocaust deniers", bizarrement traduit par Marcel Charbonnier par "renégats de l'holocauste"...). Faut-il rappeler que les négationnistes ne sont justement pas des historiens, mais bien des fanatiques antisémites qui falsifient la réalité historique?

5. La plupart des textes de Shamir sont imprégnés d'une théorie du complot de domination mondiale juive. Dans un texte du 11 novembre 2002, "Les Sages de Sion et les Maîtres du Discours", Shamir explique en substance, que s'il admet, du bout des lèvres, le caractère apocryphe des Protocoles, ceux-ci restituent cependant bien les objectifs des Juifs et leurs méthodes. La stratégie rhétorique [on sent que Zinzin a récemment découvert le terme de "rhétorique, il en use et en abuse, comme un gamin qui vient de recevoir un pantin...] qui consiste à admettre le caractère non authentique des Protocoles tout en martelant leur caractère intrinsèquement véridique est un vieux poncif antisémite. Un de plus recyclé par Shamir.

6. En mars 2001, Shamir déclarait publiquement que "les Juifs n'existent que pour faire couler le sang des enfants palestiniens dans leurs matzot" (cité par Jonathan Rosenblum, "The Jewish student -- a minnow among sharks", Jerusalem Post, 29 mars 2001, p. 9). On reconnaît sans peine le motif de l'accusation de crimes rituels que l'antisémitisme médiéval portait contre les Juifs. Dans un texte d'une violence antisémite inouïe, "Diffamations sanglantes" du 20 juillet 2003, Shamir excuse et justifie les accusations de crimes rituels portées contre les Juifs au moyen-âge, selon une approche rhétorique proche de celle qu'il emploie à propos des Protocoles des Sages de Sion: les accusations sont fausses, mais justifiables, et finalement méritées... Cela est d'une monstrueuse perversité. Shamir prend moins de gants pour reprendre, entre autres, les accusations de sorcellerie à l'encontre des Juifs. Pour faire bon poids, Shamir n'hésite pas à écrire "A l'occasion, les juifs tuaient des prêtres et des nonnes". Ce texte, traduit en français par Marcel Charbonnier, qu'on trouve sur le site de Shamir, figure évidemment sur des sites islamistes et des sites d'extrême-droite.

7. Shamir multiplie les références à la crucifixion de Jésus, souvent pour en faire porter la responsabilité aux Juifs. Voir notamment "Take Two", 15 avril 2001. Il y écrit que "les forces de la suprématie juive et les adorateurs de la cupidité se sont de nouveau unis pour crucifier le Christ". Dans ce texte, Shamir prétend que la situation actuelle au Moyen Orient est la répétition ("Take two", "la seconde prise", en terme cinématographique) de la crucifixion de Jésus. Shamir présente cette situation comme une "seconde chance" pour les Juifs, qui cette fois, doivent ne pas laisser faire, sans quoi ils mériteront d'être qualifiés de "tueurs du Christ". Il est clair que pour Shamir, les Juifs méritent déjà cette désignation pour la "première" mort de Jésus.

8. Invité à parler à l'Université McGill au Canada en 2001, Shamir traita de "singe" un rabbin présent, Antisemitism Worldwide 2001/2, Canada,

9. Shamir a répété la même ignominie à plusieurs reprises. Le 14 août 2002, dans un texte intitulé "take the money and run", Shamir a écrit que les Etats-Unis ont bombardé "l'Allemagne et la France parce qu'elles avaient offensé les Juifs". Shamir tente de suggérer par la même occasion que le bombardement de, c'est-à-dire la guerre contre, l'Allemagne n'aurait pas été justifié. Shamir a profité de la publication, en 2002, d'un florilège de ses articles pour rajouter que "those who rejected Christ were doomed to wander until they see the error of their ways". Signalons encore que Maria Poumier qui a établi le texte de l'édition française des textes de Shamir, est très proche des milieux négationnistes français, dont elle assure à l'occasion la publicité ou la défense... Poumier est une groupie de Shamir ("le meilleur juif russo-palestino-israélien au monde, très très très important écrivain, et il vous expliquera que les gens qui vous traitent d'antisémites, c'est eux, qu'on doit et qu'on peut ratatiner" écrivait-elle en juin 2002 sur la liste de diffusion "CubaSolidarityProject") de longue date. Elle n'hésite pas à l'occasion à relayer des "lettres d'information" d'extrême-droite à ses amis procastristes (Message de Maria Poumier le 13 février 2003, relayant Faits&Documents 110). Elle y retransmet également à l'occasion la Gazette du Golfe et des Banlieues du négationniste Serge Thion (message du 2 avril 2003).

Most [of these laws] remain a potential source of virtually unlimited power for a President should he choose to activate them. It is possible that some future President could exercise this vast authority in an attempt to place the United States under authoritarian rule."

In the almost three decades since that statement, the potential for a virtual dictatorship because of Presidential abuse of executive orders has only increased.

Il est deux heures trente du matin. Je viens de sillonner grâce à deux merveilleux cinéastes, l'un palestinien l'autre israélien les routes de cette Palestine historique. Je les ai bien reconnues ces routes là, ainsi que les villes, les villages traversés, les ruines des endroits détruits. Ces routes, ces chemins, ces sentiers escarpés sont le témoin du drame vécu par les Palestiniens. Pas besoin de grands discours, ce documentaire parle par lui même et est tout à fait objectif, ce qui est très rare. La colonisation, la spoliation des terres, le pillage des ressources, le balayage de la population est décrit d'une manière très simple par ceux qui sont restés. et ont gardés la terre sous leurs pieds. Un grand merci à Michel Khleifi et à Eyal Sivan pour cette route 181. C'est un long film pour la mémoire de ceux qui ont tout perdu et aussi pour ceux qui n'ont gagné que le malheur.
